That’s the difference between real breeders and pollen-chucker breeders. Nothing wrong with pollen-chucking persa...but if you’re selling seeds (or even sharing them with friends), you must stress test all parental breeding stock (male & female). This is especially true when breeding Fem’s.
How do you stress test an auto? You can't exactly clone it and use the original for breeding

I don’t fuck with Auto flowers for that exact reason. Autos are “luck of the draw”...unstable genetics at best. In general stress testing parental stock is easy. Abuse the parent(s) as much, and in as many ways as possible to ensure any intersex traits are deeply recessive, or non-existent. Again, this is especially true when breeding Feminized seed.

Well I finally remembered to take my camera (i-pad) to the basement so I took some pics. These are in the fem-auto tent. The two that are ready to cut are GSCxGSC. The ones that are in early flower are ChocSkunkxGSC. Also just planted two of the BubbaKushxGSC yesterday.

Tent # 2 has regular photo period. The two in the front are clones I made using coir from the mother, Blue Ripper.
The two in the back are Blue Hawaiian that I will try making clones from hopefully I will get a female, if not I will cross it with something for some more seeds.
The 2nd pic is the Inglittez (feminized) in front that I just moved to large pots from solo cups. The back is another Blue Ripper clone, cut a few weeks later.

Those are some nice looking plants.

I almost killed my plants when I transplanted to 10 gallon pots of soil from a solo cup due to over watering, they have been recovering for awhile now and are getting better but still have more time before I can train and flip them.

The Critical+ 2.0 is definitely doing the worst of the 3. I am not sure I will do a soil grow again just because of my comfort level with coco in comparison.

Don’t give up on soil bro. Just takes a bit to get used to as to how often to water. You’ll get a feel for it after a few waterings. You already know how much is too much, so now you just gotta find the happy medium.

its the main reason why I tell people to POT UP as they go and not increase the size unless they realize NOT to over water them by soaking the entire pot which is not root grown.
Very important to have a full root zone for a full watering..
At least you caught it as it was happening..

id have plants that size in small pots until they get root grown ..then pot up..until you are at the size you want with roots throughout the zone to flip!!! usually pot up every two to three weeks...then flip after three weeks in final pot in order to make sure the roots have grown through out the zone or pot...or container..

I definitely know now that saturating the 10 gallons was a dumb ass idea, it was habit from using coco that dries out fully in 2-4 days though.

I saw them wilting and it clicked that likely it was over watering causing them to suffocate. I was actually given advise by a potential future LP owner named Mark who suggested spot watering until a full root system is developed in the bigger pots.

@dienowk Just curious as to why you chose to use such big pots? You could easily get by with pots half that size (or less) in that space.
Honestly, because I am not that bright lol. I was reading a post about Stepwell soil (which I almost bought) where they were telling a guy to use 10gal next time because 5 gallon is too small for soil. I normally only use 3-5 gallons with coco so I have piles of them around if I run soil again.

10gal are way too big for a 5x5 if not growing a single plant that is trained to take up the whole space I now believe.

I was really leary about planting germinated seeds in the final pots (autos) right from the get go.I knew watering would be a learning curve so just tried to water the same amount I would if it was in a smaller pot. Seems to work and the plant kind of lets you know when it is not enough with wilting leaves.
