As many of you know, next year in Illinois medical cannabis patients will be able to grow up to 5 plants with no weight restrictions.
I have a wide open field I am planning to plant in. I am making a hoop house/greenhouse to keep the plants in during the Spring and then Fall. I have been told that in my area, with a heat index in the 100s F with high humidity most of the summer, you need to ventilate the hoop house. I've decided I'll just replace the poly with shade cloth in the summer.
One of the big questions that I am pondering is, what strains to use?
I mostly smoke at night to unwind and help me fall asleep, but I do like a clear headed, uplifting strain for the weekend. This makes me want to plant 3 soothing plants and two upbeat plants.
The two things I have looked for, besides the smoke effects are, is it mold resistant and can I harvest mid-October or earlier?
For my uplifting strain I am thinking about planting Strawberry Lemonade from Barney's Farm.
For my soothing strain I am looking at Mazar x White Rino by World of Seeds. I choose this strain because it has higher CBD from the other strains I considered.
Both of these strains are supposed to be mold resistant and it is a plus they have large potential yields.
Both are tall so I will be topping and lst.
Do any of you have advice for me. I am still early on in the process and can change course.
Soothing runner-ups:
Kushberry-DNA Denetics
Pink Kush- Barneys Farm
Uplifting runner-ups:
Cinnex-elev8
Blueberry Headband-Emerald Triangle
Blue Hash-Dinafem
Green Crack- Humbolt
