Lime green foliage vs deep green?

growing outdoors in california, ive noticed one of my plants taking on a lime green hue (candyland) on the foliage while another plant is holding a deep green (girl scout cookies forum cut), not sure if its genetics or a calmag issue. they are both on the same nutrients and feeding schedule (nectar for the gods), same medium (FFOF) and same size 15 gal smart pots.

im in the second week of flower, check these pictures out out, last one is the girl scout

Exactly what I was thinking pH is messed up so they can't uptake nutes I would add some beneficial microbes an get the pH in check

My Purple Punch is doing the same thing.

She’s been on the same nutes (including cal mag) as my sour diesel x lemon Kush but their colors are way different.

I think some strains yellow off more severely than others in flower.

They're in pots, just pH your runoff. If you are 6-7, that's not the issue. I would lean towards it being that pheno but for sure check your runoff.

I will also add that lime green >>>> dark green. More N doesn't = more Nugs, I LOVE lime green plants

The leaves turning like that points to rhizophere issue. Either ph or pests make leaves twist and turn ime.

I gave the Purple Punch extra N compared to the others and didn’t see a difference. She’s a week or 2 from harvest so I’m not feeding anymore. Buds look great either way!

Ca-mag issue...had same problem with some potted plants outdoors...If your outdoors dolemite lime will straighten things out in a couple weeks...

thank you all for your inputs, great feedback. first step i need to take is get a ph kit...or find one that is not a scam on amazon for digital.

second, I do use a compost tea weekly that my local hydro shop distributes - one thing that has been brought up is that i am using water straight from the tap with no inline filter, which i have now purchased.

pH of runoff is extremely inaccurate, and in no way a satisfactory indication of the pH of the actual media.

Outside of a proper slurry test, actual lab results, or a quality digital pH soil probe, determinations of soil pH are poppycock.

I would probably start with that stuff the shop gives you. If you started the plants with tap water and they were fine until now I wouldn't think its a ph issue.

It's not the color that we're saying it's PH, it's the twisted leaves. Check your water and soil PH before doing anything up or down though. Buy the $10 yellow color meters on amazon(make sure to calibrate) and a cheap soil meter(leave it in the soil like 15 + mins), screw the expensive ones. Spent $500 total on a $250 Hanna meter just to spend $80 three more times on new probes in one year and their customer service blows, unless you like the same 3 people in 3 departments transferring you like a hot potato for 2 hours before you hang up lol.

Also, why not make your own teas? I just throw a couple cups of earth worm castings and whatever else I feel is right, drizzle molasses twice a day and stir a couple times here and there with a fish tank pump and air stone going. At least your microbes are guaranteed alive when you have a frothy foaming bucket. The microbes die fast without aeration.
