Hi all, I moved back to OK and am setting up a smallish medical commercial grow. I found a foreclosed house on several acres in a county w no building code. It's a great option bc I can literally do anything I want with it and have no inspectors to deal with.
Onto the project, I tore a 30 x 15 area down to the slab and sheet rock. My plan is for either 18 or 21 lights setup in 3 rows. Going with 1000w de hps fixtures and was considering adding in a few cmh fixtures for a fuller spectrum. Thoughts on if I should go with 18 or 21 lights in the space and whether to just go all hps or adding in some cmh's?
I will be doing all soil to start as I have 20+ years experience with it and quite frankly it gives me the quality I'm looking for to separate myself from the field. Doing 4 plants per light. In my experience using a 4x4 area per light has yielded me the best quality but in a larger room like this I am not sure if that's overkill.
Additionally I will have a Quest 155 dehumidifier, 2 36k btu mini splits, an Iponic 614 controller, and a Titan 8 burner CO2 generator. Do any of you guys run a closed system w CO2 generators? That was my original design but I've been reading a lot of people exhaust rooms w generators.
I have 200 amps available in my existing service with plans to upgrade later as I build out the rest of the space. What is the best way to setup the electric in this room? I have a ton of electrical experience but am curious as to thoughts on how to break up the circuits.
I am interested as to anyone's opinions on the general design and/or components selected. I have no experience with fancy controllers as I have always lived with my grows in the past. Not being on site this time, I thought having the ability to monitor it 24/7 from my phone would be a must.
