down to 28 here in SW maine,830 am still heavy frost on everything.Brrrr awfully chilly last night
I think those guys are eating your aphids.. we have them too on our most infested plant. You can see some aphids in your pic near the black bug..That’s a possibility. From this google image of “ladybug” larvae this is why I thought ladybug
I know I have the aphids which Is why I wanted to keep the ladybugs around best I can. Luckily they seem to be in check I don’t see a whole lot of them yet. I’m also hoping the cold weather slows them down a bit I’m trying to avoid spraying anythingI think those guys are eating your aphids.. we have them too on our most infested plant. Yea, me too dubs, same boat... I already have a list thumb-tacked next to my desk with a list of strains for next year. I'll run 5 strains ... two each. So far the only one I know for sure is M.O.B. I've never grown it, but it's my favorite strain of all time and I'm dying to reproduce what I remember from 10 yrs agoAnyone thinking about strains to grow next year? Little early but I've been doing a lot of research and found some potential strains that will do good in this climate.
Purple Satellite from green mountain seeds. Basically a very early flowering oaxacan hybrid that's very rot resistant. Nice thread up on icmag, looks good so far . https://greenmountainseeds.wordpress.com
Nepalese jam from ace seeds. Another early flowering hybrid that is rot and mildew resistant, looks like a solid yielder but some phenos might go well into october. https://www.aceseeds.org/en/brands/ace-seeds/nepaljamstd.html
Vashon kush and other strains from from vashon seed and mercantile. These guys grow and select their plants in the PNW, lots of early indica dominant strains. , https://www.jbcseeds.com/vashon-seeds/
Bradley danks genetics has some good looking jaeger crosses, apparently a good outdoor strain. They are situated in oregon, somewhat similar climate to mass.

Getaway mountain, situated in Maine. I'm liking the r2 crosses.

Yummy blueberry farts lolI was so busy building the greenhouse around them all season that the actual grow was somewhat neglected... but despite their disabilities they seem determined to finish strong for me. I've been able to dial in the greenhouse so I can keep night time humidity levels at about 70-75%, when it's 90-95% outside. The temps are always 5 or 6 degrees above outside temp through the night. I keep 3 big fans moving air throughout the greenhouse 24/7. They never get wet.
The blue funk was the most disappointing plant all through veg, but it's turning out to have some nasty stank to it. It smells like a sweaty jockstrap filled with fresh blueberries. It's like smelling your own farts .. you just can't get enough of it.

A little off topic but does anyone in mass have access to some good cuttings? I wish we had nurseries to buy from so I didn’t have to keep a mother plant around. I would like to save my good seeds for next years outdoor grow and would like a few clones for my winter indoor grow coming up soon
I'm liking the purple satellites as well. $40 a pack ain't bad. They are over seas but they take paypal which is nice.Yea, me too dubs, same boat... The Purple Satelites from green mountain look wild, that may land on the roster. Getaway mountain looks like a couple Mainiacs flinging pollen all over the place... love it, I bet its good bud . I thought that other site you recommended, Cannaventure seeds had some unique crosses, I may try something from there... any recommendations?
With the greenhouse up and running I'd also like try one or two october/november sativa strains.... let them get tall and lanky and go forever, I'll keep the frost out easily into november
Very few strains are done in mid sept..I mean sure they do exist but most are done between end of Sept and mid oct.Anyone have any that are truly ripe yet? Or do you need “two more weeks”
Try the MOB from TH Seeds. So far the only one I know for sure is M.O.B. I've never grown it, but it's my favorite strain of all time and I'm dying to reproduce what I remember from 10 yrs ago
