Winter Growing Indoors

Doesn’t an HPS light put off heat? While thinking on this topic I’m wondering if a light can be an additional heat source for a winter grow. I’ve looked at the prices on the hps as well for the 600watt range which was cheaper than I thought.

Your roof should be keeping snow outside and your house warm. I have no idea what you are asking about snow melting? Why is it a problem if snow melts?
I think he/she is talking about this picture and didn’t want this to happen to them. If you’re using HID lights, indoor during the winter is optimal for me because I can blast 1000w hps and not have to worry much about heat, unlike the summer time. I would say the quality will be better indoors as well. I’ve only done 1 outdoor grow and it was nothing compared to indoor. Same cut from same mom and everything.

Yep it's funny how obvious it is.

A little grow is not going to be putting iff that much heat. People have fire places, furnaces, wood stoves,.....and keep their homes warm during winter. You guys are paranoid if you believe 600w of led is going to tip off the cops.
I was just answering your question because I read something here that fit the description of what op was saying. It was a pretty interesting story someone had about people getting busted this way.

So yeah, I think other problems in the attic are humidity is bad up there. Like mold in your insulation, attract bugs into your attic, who knows what else. Thought crossed my mind that maybe the smell would dissipate better but the smells might sink instead of rise so I don't know. Personally I wouldn't do it in an attic unless I built houses for a living and knew I could build it out right. And like they said HID's produce heat which could help especially in a tent and if it's too cold.

Yeah I’m just using a tent in bedroom and will be adding another light so it will be 2x 600w Viparspectra led

I think that's when the snowcopters and snowagents start earning their xmas overtime? Shouldn't lose heat in an insulated grow. That's what complicates summer grows. Think you'll be fine anyways. And consider sometimes paranoia is over thinking bubbling to the surface...
