I'm really starting to despise religion...

When you experience some of gods miracles first hand you beleive more....personally if youre growing weed i think you should consider that a spiritual gift...farming isnt all skill and labor i firmly beleive if you want anything to grow in be fruitful you should pray for god's blessing first...worked for me anyway....matter fact next newbie i instruct on how to grow imma be like this

-set you lights about 2 1/2 inches from the top of the plant

The last part is where I am. Maybe I should interject a little more about my history. At the age of 14 I became saved. Immediately following this I joined a youth group at my church. For about 3 years I didn't Listen to any music other than gospel, didn't cuss, didn't overeat, wasn't unruly in anyway shape or form. I rejected the flesh completely. After that period it was really rough.I kind of used that time as a rejection if innocence and looked to do as much as possible. Even shit I shouldn't have been doing.

Now the thing you touched on which is great is the interconnectivity of the inhabitants of earth. Religion doesn't focus on that. It doesen't delve into the fact that we are all one. It moreso deals with god's relationship with us, and not god's relationship with the earth as a whole. Which I find disingenuous. I consider myself to be very spiritual. I look at everything as an equal component.

Religion is for weak minded people who cannot think for themselves. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way. There millions of people who need guidance in their everyday lives, if they don't get it, they don't know what to do next. Man with his infinite individuals of evil, took religion and skewered it to take advantage of this.

I challenge anyone, to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that their particular brand of religion is the one. Having said that, to me that means there is no one religion and because of this, we have clannish organizations which expose bigotry and prejudice in their favor.

Frankly, I'm my own individual and there is NO other man, whether he be called priest, imam, rabbi, holy man, etc. that will dictate what I can think, wear say and so on.

And to those who say I'm going to hell or whatever, just because you are a member of some religion does not necessarily make you a good human being. See all atrocities committed in the name of a religions God. Well we all know God didn't commit them. Guess who?

my best friend is muslem, hes a reall cool guy, very smart, yet he blindly believes in islam, I try subtly to get him to realise its BS, its kind of easy to talk about it as I find pretty much everything interesting, so we talk about islam alot, I read a descent amount of the Quaran, and try and get him to read into it more... some really silly shit in the Bible and quaran, their very simmilar, and equaly as true.

What I find is funny is he knows I don't believe Catholicism, or the bible to be true but he tries to convince me Islam is correct by pointing out all the similarities between the two religions .

I think its sad that we live in a time, and place where we are so evolved, yet still believe in books writen over a thousand years ago, by people we know very little about.
Think about it we know practicaly nothing about the people who wrote the bible, most of us have know idea, who, John, Mark, Luke, and Mathew were. They try and play it off like their apostles, but they never even met jesus, the oldest book was writen over 70 years after Jesus' supposed reserection. the youngest of which was writen over 150 years later.

I defiently would encourage people to read the bible, and or Quaran, their good books, and more importantly, nothing will make you not believe them faster than reading them!

P.S. God probably hates religion, think about it, its kind of sacrilegious to be religious. I would be quite upset if all these simpleton people tried to make false assumptions about me (much like I'm doing now )

P.P.S. I believe in god, just in no religion, I guess I'm more of an Agnostic... what is an agnostic church like? do they talk about how they dont know anything about God and his work?

Im with you. Im more spiritual than religious. I just find it impossible for man to convey what god truly wants. I believe god just wants us to be good people, Because I believe there are people inherently good and bad. It's something you have in your heart and soul.

I though agnostics believed in evolution. So I would venture to guess that an Agnostic church would discuss ID. Im not sure though.

I used to argue all the time. Believe me I used to turn alot of normal conversations into an opportunity to convert someone. It's just wrong to heap your belief system on someone. Especially if there moral structure is on par with yours. I find that alot. "Christians" end up preaching to people who are often more Christian-like than themselves they just don't call themselves that.

I strongly dissagree, it is a fact that religion is the cause of more killings, in history than anything else.
I Know we would still fight and have wars without it, but possibly less... possibly more.
religion serves only to divide the people of this earth. This of course isn't its purpose, but that's basically all it stands to do.
the main reason Catholocism was started was to take power away from the kings and all other forms of dictators, that served life terms, and were appointed by blood. by having people believe in god and Jesus, people had a reason to not be afraid of the law and punishment of that time. what scares you more? eternal damnation or death but knowing you will go to heaven and have everything handed to you because you did the right thing?
it was an ingenious plan with great intentions gone horribly wrong!
A majority of people do not use religion as an excuse to hurt, or kill people this is a side effect brought upon by division.

You know i was born into a family without an actual religion. My mother believes in god and jesus, but, i just cant do it. I cant decide of im Agnostic or Atheist cause... To be honest i think its all bullshit. No proof, No Evidence, Nothing. Even Zeitgeist goes over it all.

My Grama had a heart attack once and when she came back she said she saw all of her family that were dead and they told her to go back.

Another story i find interesting...

A woman was being sent to the hospital from a heart attack once again. Well on the table she died, and she started to float towards the ceiling... and she saw her dead body with all the doctors trying to bring her back to life. Well after floating threw the ceiling outside into the sky, she saw a red sneaker on the 8th floor of the building on the ledge. Then she came back down into her body, and when she came back alive, she told of what she saw, so the doctors went up and found the red sneaker. There was no way she would of known that it was there without her actually floating up.

How do you disprove that? Only reason i have the little faith i do. Other than that, I dont believe in Religion. I do believe in ghosts/spirits though. So idk, Im just confused about it.
