what's your plan? I think I'm gonna bring my last outdoor lady inside for these 5 of 7 potential rainy days ahead.... wet and cold
Did the same as your thinking a week ago. I brought them inside and finishing up under lights. To nervous about losing anymore to rot.

C374A399-EABB-4013-8BF0-89C607A5B136.png Looks like there’s even more rain in the forecast now, rainy wet October. I couldn’t leave them out in it. It’s to many consecutive days. Bound to get massacred by rot.

Ya I here that. Tuesday is my only day off till the weekend so if I don’t chop then I’ll have to wait and by then I’m sure I’ll get hit hard. Sucks cause i only have about a week left and i really wanna let them finish out. Btw I’m in Swansea so where pretty close lol

Bike path close lol. I’m actually going to copy your set up next year just on a bigger scale. And in the ground instead of 5 gallon buckets.

I’m gonna redo mine this winter a little as it was something I thru together real quick in July (cops told me I had to have them in a locked enclosure blah blah) I’m gonna set up a WiFi controlled irrigation and a better “roof” with roll up sides and a few other odds and ends. Out of the thousands of plants I’ve grown in my years this is my first time growing right in the ground and i love it. I almost never have to water or worry about rootbounding. Plus I can no-till and replant next year with minimal work. Next year will be way better this was a great year to learn from

It was exactly that, a lot of learning on my end as well. Gives you great ideas on tweaking everything.

I'm done, found bug infestation on 1 of the 2 OG cheese plants so I'm tossing that one and harvesting the other. It's odd because it's only the one plant, the other is perfectly fine I can't find one bug on it. I kinda feel good now since I was getting tired of taking care of these things. This was my 1st outdoor grow and will be sticking to indoors, sooo much easier. My critical purple kush I had outdoors were perfectly fine also, I won't be planting cheese again.

Looks like harvest day is tomorrow for me. At least most of it. I find at least a little mold every day since last week and with the upcoming rain I can only assume the worst. You guys think I should just takes the big colas off and let the smaller stuff go? Or just chop everything?

Hey everyone.

Wanted some consensus here. I have some crazy big C99 plants outside. They are over 8’, bushy and gorgeous. Right now they are packing on weight and density. Trichs are at least 95% cloudy if not 100% but zero amber. Still white pistils but ive seen them starting to die off.

I have seen ZERO mold. Not a tiny spot.

A few days ago I built a three sided plastic enclosure over them and since then they have been absolutely bone dry in the mornings vs covered in dew. Showers wont hit them at all. Great airflow, not an issue.

I har planned to let them all go till next week to pack on more weight and fully ripen. This means them in their little makeshift greenhouse during these cloudier/wet days and throughout the mid-30s nights this weekend.

I see lots of others chopping. Should I? My gut says no reason to chop until i at very least see the first sign of mold or they fully ripen or an actual killing frost is coming.

Is this solid thinking? This time last year we were picking mold every day trying to get them ripe and weighing the rot loss vs ripening process. This year has been awesome till this week and i just want to make the most of it.

Well are you a gambling man ? That’s what it comes down to unfortunately. Only because even with good airflow the humidity will be high as fuck and the mold will start right deep inside the buds, probably those fattys on the main colas. Or everything could be ok, I think the rain is holding off till tomorrow afternoon, go out there tomorrow, take a really good look at them and make the decision, I hope it works out for you.

My thinking is take the Tops off guys at the very least maybe leave a few as long ass you don't mind losing them i have just seen to many good peoples crop's go Bad for me to chance it this New England and Yes the Summer up till about last Week was the Best in 15 yr's easy IMHO but like i said before i rather have a Little then have None ! If you don't mind losing it or can afford to lose it i should phrase it that way. Because what these Mass dispensaries are selling for recreational use should be Punishable by Law fucking 12-16 % selling it for $50 sometimes $60 for 1/8 plus Tax ! Medical card holders have it a little better but not much ..

Thanks for your reply and the one before!

I havent had major rot before. How quickly can it set in? Would it show on a few colas one day and then be plant-wide the day after or would it slowly take a crop over a week if the spots were plucked out?

Last year we had rot here and there but kept picking it out and lasted long enough to get a harvest but you guys seem to be talking something worse.

For scale im guessing at full ripeness this would be a ~5-6 pound grow based on last year...all personal use so im not worried about a bud here or there just dont want to lose a huge volume overnight.
