got 5k worth of bars and drivers being built currently. Custom built insulated reefer shipping container, 40ft x 8ft, r30 insulation all around, wash out drains in the floors, aluminum reflective walls, mini splits, titties.

50 bars for now, 40 in 3500k, 10 in 6500k. more to come soon.

here's a sneak peak of the shenanigans to come. The flowering shots are of the seed run looking for keepers under COBs. theres CGS grand doggy jones, ethos purple skittles, ethos colorado chem, ethos insane in the membrane, and cold mountain cures lady marmalade in there. Theres fire to be found, i just have to sort them out. they are overfed and slightly burned, but i flushed and reset them over the last week so we are back on track.

In case anyone is wondering how KB’s packaging is. I would have liked to see actual foam cushioning in the driver box instead of a poly scarf lol. It is what it is. All looks good. Will set it up over the next few days.

Wow.... Thats really unacceptable. If that came to me like that I'd be furious! If it broke that would be useless.. And most likely they wont cover that.. I might second guess ordering from Kingbrite and go with Meijiu because mine was fully boxed and foamed from Meijiu.

this has been stated a hundred times in the thread, get your drivers from NOT alibaba. Seven years warranty and a guaranteed to have passed QC is a lot of goodies for only paying a little extra as the ali-drivers are almost the same price as digikey et al.

see your ali boards as expendables; but get a good driver that can be returned for warranty, sending it to china is not very viable.

I was quoted $161 for a 240 QB288.. If i got only the board and heatsink the shipping is gonna be the same, i was quoted $80 for the light and heatsink only. How is it cheaper or same price?

Not following you there.

$160 for the full kit and $80 for the kit without driver?

The Ali pricing rubric doesn’t make sense to me. I’m trying to order 6 qb288 boards with heat sinks and 3 Meanwell drivers. All of the big 3 have quoted me prices higher than their 240w KITS with the double board heat sinks. I don’t need the wires, wagos, potentiometers, switches or any of that jazz. I understand their sales strategy by deterring people from building their own fixtures and buying their pre-made kits but come on, that’s pretty greasy.

Yeah I’m thinking of going that route for the flower light I’m building. I wonder if DigiKey will have a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale.

I buy my drivers from digikey or arrow. Same price but with cheap shipping in the US. Alibaba is good if you're buying a lot of boards. Otherwise it can be pretty close in price sometimes. Got a temporary veg tent going until my container is delivered and ready. Both of those lights are tied into one meanwell 480

Yeah, even with months of research now, and scouring these forums, I wish I would have gone a different route a little with the KB's. Will probably resell these locally for at least what I paid because they're lm301h and most people here are kinda oblivious tbh to growing still. They're still buying blurples from amazon for hella $, so I'm definitely thinking I should be ok to resell them locally and maybe look at some black friday deals. One came in today, the packaging was the same as @bigmikey86 's. Could be better, half decent if I gotta say, but also seemed very well shipped from China in 5 days, payment sent on the 16th. So super fast nonetheless. The outer box isn't damaged from what I see. Boards have a wavy effect like moisture splotching on them, but I think thats just from the machine the diodes were mounted in. So far, so good... Except now I'm stuck wiring these 600w 6 qb's by myself. Only having their one wiring video for reference on youtube for a 500w. Red to red wago, black to black wago? 600h 48b with pot attached already, now I'm stumped on the driver to wago connections? Black to black, red to red in the same series? And then the 3 random wires coming off the back, brown, yellow, and black, where the fuck do they go lol?

You have a constant voltage power supply with the 48B. It uses parallel wiring. That means every board is connected to the same + and - terminal of the output of the driver. Just like the wiring is connected in your house. Because of the amount of current the 600 can provide, it will use a pair of output wires, so try to put 1/2 of the boards on one pair and the other half on the other output leads.

The lead with the 3 wires is for a remote on/off

off input to turn the driver on/off as well as a 5v power supply.
REMOTE ON/OFF CONTROL
Power on : "High" >2 ~ 5V or Open circuit Power off : "Low" <0 ~ 0.5V or Short circuit

The only thing I don’t like about the 600w set up is the spacing or lack of, which is why I want to build my own frame assembly to spread the boards out. I still plan to run them at 80-100w each board with 80-100w of 4K strips. My only issue is figuring out the heatsink without having to order them from China and pay for shipping. @HustleBones how much did you pay for shipping?
