Light burn?

Without sitting in front of your grow, I'm out of detective questions. The only thing that stands out to me is the pH perhaps being too low considering the majority of your medium is comprised of peat. Issues with zinc, iron and sulfur generally result from pH issues, not so much because your plant needs boat loads of those elements. But I'm just one man, so see what some of the others here have to say. Whatever you do, don't knee jerk your way into more issues...slow and steady. Good luck.
Thank you so much for the help. I’ve done some research and I think it is indeed a ph issue. I’m fighting the urge to start feeding and flushing.. lol.. I’m gonna let it dry up a bit then give it a good watering at 6.5.. see how it responds to that.

I grow in peat with a coco and yucca mix, aka Miracle Gro Nature's Care Organic Potting Mix.

The light burn will heal if it is not burned to a crisp.
One time I had so much light on 1 plant that the leaves turned purple, but after a week it started turning back to green again.

I would try looking for yellowing leaves that is under the canopy, that wasn't directly exposed to the light, to determine what is wrong with the plants.

If it really is a deficiency, I would try using some Azomite on it.
"AZOMITE, stands for the “A to Z of Minerals Including Trace Elements." It was used by Native Americans for hundreds of years, and is still being used worldwide by professional and commercial growers/farmers.
Azomite is organic, and contains a broad spectrum of over 70 minerals and trace elements, so it is bound to have whatever your plants are lacking.
It's only 10 dollars for a 5 pound bag, and I think you only need a teaspoon or maybe 1/4th of a teaspoon per gallon of water. It's cheaper than Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus too (8ounces for 15 dollars), and you will eventually need it once you run out of your Cal-Mag solution.

the girls are still growing quite well.. just., I can’t walk past them with out freaking out inside lol.

thank you for the help.. I’ll keep this updated,. Hopefully with solid green leaves ffs lol

Hey just want to chime in and share my recent experience with extremely similar symptoms. had a couple gorilla glues that started looking like this second to last week of veg. I thought it was a nute or pH problem for sure so I tried flushing and different things but it didn't help, only got worse. Well after a couple days I realized the plants had just grown too close to my HLG 550 v2s. At 20 inches away during veg it was burning up and bleaching the new growth. I raised the lights to 30 inches and in just over a week the plants have almost completely recovered.

I find this very hard to believe. Never had a leaf change to yellow, purple or whatever then change back to green.
Got any pics of this phenomenon?

Or anyone else for that matter?

I have finished one grow with the same HLG light as you and I think I may have bleached/ burned them a little. Were you on 100% power at 20", then 30" in veg? How high were you in flower? I ran out of room and had about 18"-22" over the canopy in flower at 100%, got some fox tailing and canoeing leaves. Thanks in advance for any tips you could share.

true. damage from lightburn induces bleaching and destroyed phytochrome is not going to heal

where does this constant fear on lightburn in this forum stem from? outside the sun is much stronger (and cannabis can take all of it and then some more) than your fancy indoor lights... just to get an impression take your mobile to your canopy and measure lumen intensity. Over 125 000 lux begins the danger....

Hey so this is my first rip with the HLGs and I switch to flower on Monday so I don't have any experience yet with flower. But for veg when I finally realized it was the light stunting and bleaching them, I raised the lights to 30 inches and turned em way down.
If the screw turned all the way down is 50%, then I'm at like 70%. I will slowly turn it up for flower.
After some research this seems to be the most consistent info I've found:

It says/ quote: It has a MOUNTING HEIGHT of 36” for veg and 24” for flower

And that's for 100% power^

When the HLGs started frying my girls was around 20 inches at full power.
They healed remarkably quickly after raising and turning em down a bit. Hope this helps somewhat!

Thanks, my tallest colas were about 18" from the light at 100% power in flower and showed some foxtailing and the leaves were a little crispy looking.. I'm buying a kill o watt meter for my next grow so I'll know the wattage at the different dimmer settings. Have fun in flower stage, the light has great penetration and should give you a nice yield.

Update...

soooo I’ve done nothing. .. like at all after i flushed with 6.5ph I let them dry out ... now I’m gonna hit it with a normal feeding.. turns out I had cal plus.. so I’ll use that..

They seem to be growing at a normal rate still
How's it going, plants still healthy?

Going decent, running into a bit of trouble which I just posted about in this sub thread dealing with poor drainage in my pots. I'm thinking I went too big and the LEDs aren't putting off enough heat to dry such a large pot. So a combination of a lot of things, trying to figure out how to improve my drainage and any damage the poor drainage has done to the roots thus far. Hope your girls are doing well right now!

Your plants look better than when you first posted this thread, so good on you. I would however continue to manage your pH, watch your leaf tips (looks like you're pushing them) and be mindful of the chattered / yellowing leaf margins. Again, kudos on improving as you go...good luck.

im still not sure of what the problem was/is exactly.. I just added essential minerals and beefed up the feedings a bit.. I think the buds are growing nicely.. not sure ..first time growing this strain ..it’s a learning process that’s for sure .
