I even need more heat in the summer as it's pretty cool down in my basement grow room. It only got to 64F at the highest in the summer so if my exhaust fan ran all the time it would be too cool in the room. The fan is on a heat/rh controller and unless I'm running 1000W of HID it rarely comes on which means I get little air exchange so I made an alcohol lamp to keep the CO2 levels up then I don't care if the fan cycles at all. I have a heater on a thermostat too so with low heat lights like LEDs then I'll just use more power running the heater and heaters don't help the plants grow like lights do so it's a waste.I am in the opposite position. Need more heat for the winter
I have a 600W HPS going atm and the fan is only kicking in once an hour with the basement at 55F. The room is well insulated but mainly concrete underground so the two outside walls and floor are always cool. The RH switch is set to 60% and never causes the fan to cycle as RH is very low here. It's a real balancing act to keep conditions just right.
