What did you use to connect into your totes with the 2" pipe? That's definitely not a bulkhead I'm seeingI think I got something to work with now

You need a separate pump just for the chiller. And you don’t want the pump to be too strong or the water will circulate through the chiller before it has time to chill efficiently.Idk? Is that how it works or should work?
You aren't going to like what I'm going to say but its electrical fittings with toilet rubber gaskets. My budget was getting crashed so.. yea.. they are leak tested so we are good. What did you use to connect into your totes with the 2" pipe? That's definitely not a bulkhead I'm seeing
There are 2 pumps the chiller pump is 700gphYou need a separate pump just for the chiller. And you don’t want the pump to be too strong or the water will circulate through the chiller before it has time to chill efficiently.
Here’s the chiller pump size recommendations below
My large pump is too big for my chiller to handleI would minimize to one pump. Sucking from your res, feeding the chiller and then running to your waterfalls.
The return water provided by the upsized return line would then just run to the res, be cooled by the chiller and then return to the totes and thus, the roots.
Your system looks well built and these are simply suggestions. Take them with a grain.
I used modified plumbing fittings and lots of aquarium sealant for mine lolYou aren't going to like what I'm going to say but its electrical fittings with toilet rubber gaskets. My budget was getting crashed so.. yea.. they are leak tested so we are good.
Well, why don't you take some better pics and add some links and share what you did?You aren't going to like what I'm going to say but its electrical fittings with toilet rubber gaskets. My budget was getting crashed so.. yea.. they are leak tested so we are good.
I have a 1200 that drops to 1100ish at 1' head I hope I'll have enough umphI used modified plumbing fittings and lots of aquarium sealant for mine lol
I will just didnt want to hear the negativity. Bc I didnt spend 200 in 2" bulkheads. But I will later. I used aquarium sealant on the outside to sealWell, why don't you take some better pics and add some links and share what you did?
Oh we all know how expensive they can be. But there's definitely some cheaper options for at least some lesser quality bulkheads you could have made work. But hey, as long as it worked right?I will just didnt want to hear the negativity. Bc I didnt spend 200 in 2" bulkheads. But I will later. I used aquarium sealant on the outside to seal
That’s a bad ass RDWC in the making. Like all of us, you’ll make improvements over time as you use it come up with ways to perfect it. You should be able to grow some monsters with that system!I will just didnt want to hear the negativity. Bc I didnt spend 200 in 2" bulkheads. But I will later. What kind of pump are you usingThat's how mine is setup.
I have 2 pumps in my outside reservoir. A 1400gph that pushes to the waterfalls and like a 450gph that circulates through the chiller then dumps back into that same res.

They are just 2" male and female electric fittings with a rubber toilet bowl gasketI still would like to know what you used to come up with somethinghing that works
Both are just cheap ebay/amazon specials. What kind of pump are you using
Doing my testing I'm not getting good movement of water so I was thinking getting a bigger pump just cant find one.i have a danner 1200 GPU but drops to 1100 at 1' of headBoth are just cheap ebay/amazon specials.
I like the power of the 1400gph. It's exactly what I was going for. But that particular one puts out a lot more heat than it should.
