I vegged the clone for a month before flower, supercropping a week before flower, and again after the first week

i was under the impression you did that placing 2-4 plants per square foot and growing a SINGLE COLA. i was like holy shit

Why isn't it a single cola plant?

They are given 1 square foot each... 2-4 per foot isn't possible with 5gal buckets.

Not at all, they are pretty rootbound by the time they've finished. A bigger rooting area allows more growth and nutrient uptake. Also a bigger pot size allows for more soil activity, the organic matter has to decompose, the bacteria and fungus have more room to colonize, everything is happier if space isn't limited. The soil is alive, that's what feeds the plant.

It's different in hydro setups, but rooting area still allows more growth.

I think I got hydroponic results, with the soil flavor. I'm overall satisfied with my setup, I hope to be pulling down a harvest by New Years... I'm active in my journal.

That bud was 47 grams, They average between 30-45 grams per plant, depending on strain. So 30-45 grams per square foot. 270-450 per m^2 that's with 600W lights though. I imagine the results would be better with 1000Ws.

WoW,, i wish i had a fraction of some of you guy's knowledge, i mean im smiling after reading this thread, learned alot about growing bigger big buds , and solved a really big worry i had about my garden,, ive got a midget version of your grow
just 1 400hps and a handfull of HO fluoros , 18 3week olds, i was starting to worry about how bunched-up they were gonna get after what was going to be a 6week veg, is now gonna be a 2 1/2 week veg

That other cola is one of those buds, they're all sensi star. Idk how many were in there, I'm guessing 60ish (it was over a year ago) the dates a april 2007, I harvested on 4/20, planned it out so it would work that way There was a week flush after the pics taken on 4/14, and the cola pic is after harvest.
