Question for you guys. When looking at the Meanwell data sheet for the hlg-240h-48AB it says that only 2 PSU are allowed on a 16a Type B breaker. What’s the reasoning for this?
Apart from the obvious dont run too much power on one fuse: inrush current when you switch it on which is much higher than operating amps. Allways better to keep your psu on separate timers
Id double check all of this though cause im not an electrician

Yeah I fully understand not overloading a circuit and keeping the total amperage under 80% of the circuits capacity for continuous use. My 1000w 5hp shop vac has no issue operating on my apartment circuits but maybe it has an inrush limiter built into the motor.

If the three 240w drivers pop the fuse upon start up, I think a time delay fuse should solve the problem. Considering the three drivers combined will be operating at max 600w, I’m not worried about continuous circuit load. Or I could have them on three separate timers that turn on 1 min apart from each other.

That's why you should use 3 separate analog timers and manually click them to turning off 30seconds or so one after another. That way you can avoid all that current draw right on start up

Yeah I think I’ll go down that route. Safest and maybe the plants will see it as a simulated sunrise haha. I just have to hope I don’t get a power outage lol.

I believe the 301b and h are the same diode except the h is part of the newer released horticulture line and they are more resistant to environmental factors like moisture.
This is incorrect. There is no difference between 301b and 301h. It is simply an indicator that samsung produced the diode specifically to be put in horticultural fixture. It's an internal tracking thing, Samsung wants to know where their diodes are going.

Can you cite a source for this info please? Not saying I don't believe you just would like to know where you read this. Everything I read keeps saying they are waterproof and slightly higher output but if neither of these things are true then you just saved me money because the lm301h's are around 30 more bucks per kit than the lm301b's.

Where is that "anti-sulferization" mentioned by Samsung? All diodes have a coating on them.
I'm starting to think this might be an undercover meijiu worker trying to get me to splurge a little extra. Probably been tracking me since I made the inquiry, lol. At five boards the price difference is almost 200 bucks. The lm301h's better throw in the sweetest beej ever for an extra 200 dollarinis:razz:

I'd go with the b's. Just remember this is China and nothing will be quite what they say it is. Is it good enough? absolutely. Is it HLG? no.
