i check both. but final decision comes off the buds. 10% amber for me roughly

He is right tho fan leaves dont mater i look at the sugar leaves that come out of the buds

Well if you go off amber buds the trichomes will be more ripe i use the small leaves half sticking out the buds because i like mine more milky but you want to verify amber trichomes from the bud area regardless

Top always ready first. Some do staged harvests as things mature, top to bottom.

I'll say it again. Check the buds, not the sugars which mature faster. Sugar leaves are not the best indicator. I rarely check trichs anymore though since I can tell if they're ready looking at the buds now.

my last harvest almost fooled me. they looked ready at 65 days but i checked just to make sure. they ended up going 73 so glad i checked.

Ya it definitely doesn't hurt to check them, and I still do sometimes, just not as often.

really? it takes a bit to find the right height above the nug and some twisting of the zoom but they come in great (eventually). is yours one of the 50x to whatever x they have on Ebay for like 20 bucks?
