Looking for new techniques. Bending. I don’t want to bend My plants. ThanksBend the branches.
Low stress training generally involves bending.Looking for new techniques. Bending. I don’t want to bend My plants. Thanks
Squash beat me to that one.....bending is part of lst. I've done manifold training (mainlining) It's combination of topping and gentle bending to train plant to grow ultimately 4 main colas or even 8 or 16 depending om how many times you top.Looking for new techniques. Bending. I don’t want to bend My plants. Thanks
Thanks trying to get a few different techniques to see if i can add to my technique. I would like to not crop or bend. Working on complete training. Direct them in a direction and and watching them go in that direction. I constructed a guide and so far so good. I have them in 5 gal. Plant buckets. On a different group i will try a few out with you technique on this group i want to do the train only. Here's what I do:
Step 1)
Top/fim when they have grown 4-5 sets of nodes. When the tips of the newest growth are praying like hands just tear it off by hand. The sloppier you are the better. In time the bottom branches will become new colas.
Step 2)
Pinch lightly at every bare stem space between each set of nodes until you feel a pop and the stem goes limp. Let them recover; keep doing this like every other week. Just pinch them to slow down the tallest colas. Veg under a light powerful enough to induce tight nodal branching. Continue pinching in between nodes for up to two weeks into flowering.
Step 3) (optional) monster cropping
To double yields monster crop your plants: gradually reduce the veg light cycle by one hour per week until they start the throw pistils. Usually this is down around 14/10 for most strains. Let them shoot pistils for a week+/- and then return light cycle back to 18/6. Re-veg for 2 or 3 more weeks and then flip to them to 12/12 for the final bloom phase.
With the technique im working on in this group is no bending. training them to go in the direction i want them to. ThanksLow stress training generally involves bending.
Thanks. I noticed your avitar pic. Did you grow them. Can i get a better look. This may help.
Low stress training vs topping. Which is better?
I've always topped my plants but I recently watched this video and I'm thinking of doing low-stress training. Does low-stress training create bigger buds or am I fine with topping? Thanks for the replies.www.rollitup.org
Thanks on this group im working on guides to direct them with out bending or toppings. Normally you start 4th to 5th set of leaves i started directing these on 1st and second set directing them with a guide and doing good. More work directing smaller ones. Going well. Just see if i can add to my technique. Thanks.Squash beat me to that one.....bending is part of lst. Ya I grew them. That was my first round in FFOF and organic nutes only. I topped and lst'd them. I've also done supercropping, manifolding, and grown them without any training. I prefer to do a combination now depending on how I feel and how the plants are growing, and how much time I have before I want to flip them.Thanks. I noticed your avitar pic. Did you grow them. Bending without breaking literally is lst though.Looking for new techniques. Bending. I don’t want to bend My plants. Thanks
Agree. Bending rocks!Bend the branches.
Very good looking plants. The wife is doing a set of cropping twice finishing with LST. Im doing a set of guiding only i made some guides with tie down holes ever inch and slightly tie them in the direction i want them to go that why i put tie holes every in. I taking pic of the process. My plan is to make them circle around the outside of the bucket until they complete a circle outside of The bucket. center of bucket will be open and all colas going up. We want to try different techniques and create new ones.Ya I grew them. That was my first round in FFOF and organic nutes only. I topped and lst'd them. On these ones the are growing in the direction im guiding them and it’s working well. I started directing them on 1st set and second set of leaves. It’s turning out as i expected. I didn’t do no bending just tied them every inch directing them the way i want them to go. I do take pictures of what we do incase some one else wants to try different techniques like my wife and i.Bending without breaking literally is lst though.
