The pneumonia is a secondary infection, once your resistance is down it can finish you off, being already vaccinated for it may help survival rates.
H1N1 has a fatality rate of 0.02%.yet... We'll see how bad it gets, I believe the mortality rate is around 2%, about the same as influenza, the severity of illness and ease of transmission seems to be the major concerns. I haven't been following it too closely, yet!
Not in the case of 2019nCoV. The serious condition called ARDS is in fact caused by the virus and compounded by the inflammation which is an immune response. The pneumonia is a secondary infection, once your resistance is down it can finish you off, being already vaccinated for it may help survival rates.
That's not a hospital, it's a quarantine center.They can build a hospital fast. https://www.bbc.com/news/in-pictures-51280586
The CCP has members on that shit. They won't say anything that Jinping doesn't approve of.The WHO also told us that sars wasn't airborne even though they knew it was at the time.
I guess it really depends on how contagious it is, variations on the cora virus make up much of the common cold, a familiar virus we in Canada are familiar with, perhaps we could derive some benefit from this in terms of average severity.Yes your right, but what’s your point really? That it’s bad and could get way worse? Also your right about the pneumonia shot being a good thing for people over 60, and under 60 if you have preexisting conditions, it’s free here btw. But to run out and get it, thinking it gives you a leg up with this is unhelpful. But fill your boots if you think it will. What I want to know is why Canada hasn’t, as of yet closed it’s borders to China? And why are we negotiating the return of Canadians when in fact other countries are doing it now. The Chinese Government is basically getting us to suck their virus infected balls. The most pressing need now is to slow it down, sure as hell won’t contain it, until there is a viable vaccine. The fucking WHO is looking very much inept if not guilty of covering up this shit at this point IMO.
Estimates range from 1% to 3% yes. However, recent research has uncovered that secondary bacterial pneumonia was in fact responsible for possibly a majority of those deaths. So in the case of the flu, what you said about pneumonia is very much correct, but for 2019nCoV, you could still have the condition called ARDS. Apparently, not everyone gets it, something like 20% of cases do and it is still being studied as to why. For the other 80% it's just a bad cold.Wasn't the Spanish flu 2% - 3% ?
My maternal grandmother died of Spanish flu in 1918 in an outport in Newfoundland, not sure about the mortality rate, it might have been a bird flu too I believe which is even more problematic, birds shit everywhere!Wasn't the Spanish flu 2% - 3% ?
Likely. Everyone was sick. France was the epicenter, then Kansas was the epicenter. Chinese migrants have also been implicated but there is no data regarding the sickness within China.Thought I read years ago that during the Spanish flu in Europe more solders died of it than combat.
They called it the Spanish flu because everybody else was at war and censored the news, so the only reports during the war came out of Spain, a neutral.Thought I read years ago that during the Spanish flu in Europe more solders died of it than combat.
I wonder if there will be any potential animal vectors like swine or a wild population of something?Spanish flu was H1N1, which made a big comeback in 2009 and infected a fifth of the world that year. We called it swine flu. Avian flu mutates every year and most of our poultry gets it from wild migrating fowl.
It's fairly well cornered down to a bat at this point but there are a few things researchers are having some difficulty fitting into the picture.I wonder if there will be any potential animal vectors like swine or a wild population of something?
tomato, tomoto, it’s a place to stay until you die or get better. Probably see a few more in the coming weeks .That's not a hospital, it's a quarantine center.
Well, a hospital is for treatment. A quarantine center is for detention. But you know, 1984 and all.tomato, tomoto, it’s a place to stay until you die or get better. Probably see a few more in the coming weeks .
