Democrats are basiclly just controlled opposition at this point. They would rather throw the election than have a progressive win. Gotta keep the billionaires happy. No doubt they would rather push Biden through a brokered convention knowing full well he has zero chance against Trump than let a progressive like Bernie be the nominee.
Biden is the one Senator that I know of that didn't cash in on his office. The narrative that it is because billionaires are scared of Bernie because he will tax them is funny (and pretty sad), because if that was the case, they would just push to keep Trump in office.

Just go with mayor Pete, far better choice for the establishment. He will do laps around Trump in debates. There is the issue of homophobic democrats but I think they are a small minority in the party.

He has credibility because of a 50 year long career of championing Democratic values such as stopping racist redlining and job discrimination, protecting women rights, saving SS and medicare, cleaning up the environment, beating the NRA by banning machine guns, and actually being able to pass legislation while earning enough trust and having a clean enough record that President Obama chose him to be his VP.

If the Democrats run him they may as well just not bother putting a presidential candidate forward for the next election and just let Trump keep Trumping. Both Biden and Bernie are leagues better than Trump (not a high bar to jump, this is true). Differentiater is: Biden has a record of accomplishment that Bernie hasn't come close to even beginning to match. Not that I'm pulling for Biden. Warren is my first choice. Buttigieg second.
