in a perfect world i would have a large cure room like that, might expensive though keeping it pressurized or sealed so to speak. Is it possibke to keep plants in a room that is 60-70 degrees and stays around 60% relative humidity, and have them cure without using jars? Seems mike it would be easier to maintain a set standard in a room, than to burp dozens of jars or containers.
Good input mr new member.....
My basement is a pretty perfect environment. I may do a test with half a plant. Do half each way and see if there is a difference.in a perfect world i would have a large cure room like that, might expensive though keeping it pressurized or sealed so to speak.
Show me one article about the question i asked. Im supposed to know something that ive NEVER seen anyone ask? I may follow you to watch you get flamed on here for being a know it all with exactly zero useful input. But yea, keeping my buds in my basement will be "too expensive"Im sure it can be done but more expensive than its worth and you probably loose terps. Yea im a new member but your the one who asked a question you should no the answer to "well known member".
Right on.Curing in a room is like doing a Dutch oven on your neighborhood. You gotta seal in the stink so it soaks up into its only surroundings. In a jar that'd be the bud itself soaking up its own smells as they are created.
Every study ive seen says that oxygen starts to deplete terpenes and cannabanoids AFTER the cure is complete. You need oxygen for the aerobic bacteria to live and convert the sugars and starches. And ive never understood the act of limiting the oxygen (putting in sealed environment) over just controlling the environmentRight on.
Think of it like this, when you smell weed, that smell , is actually being released.. Its not gonna go forever. Thats why you wanna put it in a storage container and not in the open. Being open to the air will eventually diminish the terpenes and taste of the bud. It is different to burp a jar that to leave buds open in the right environment for long periods of time
This opens the big question “what matters more- oxygen or humidity control” to which I have no answer, but it suggests an experiment.Every study ive seen says that oxygen starts to deplete terpenes and cannabanoids AFTER the cure is complete.
