platinum has a history of deceit, lies and greed rivaling the impeached swine's.
Why spend the money on a slate triple, and use only 2/3 of it when you could just buy 2 slates for each single board?i like the spread of two boards on a triple for a bigger setup anyway.
I havent looked into a source for heatsinks yet, maybe ill do that later.
Maybe Ill just bulk order some from china and sell them on ebay.
so that light sucks???platinum has a history of deceit, lies and greed rivaling the impeached swine's.
Agreed, I'd never buy that new, paid way less than halfKind of like the KIND LED's, holy crap I can't believe they are still selling them for ungodly prices
looks like a blurple wuth a few other spectrums, and 630 total watts for almost $2k.....because i'm going to use the wifi part of it....dumb
K5 XL1000 WIFI LED Grow Light
The all new K5 WIFI allows for complete control of spectrum and timing for multiple lights from your phone, tablet, or laptop through the web based KIND Command Center. Wireless management of your lighting program has never been easier. IMPORTANT ROUTER INFORMATION Spectrum...www.kindledgrowlights.com
At least my AGLEX has some big COB's on it lol, this looks like the AGLEX3000 without the COB's haha
My AGLEX is also only using the white cobs in my veg tent lol.
Ive never grown with one but I was around when they were banned from 420. At that time their business practices and their products had negative reputations. Since then ive only heard comments indicating nothing has changed.so that light sucks???
Problem is a lot of companies know people wont do any research before buying, so mark their stuff way up and talk like it is the best light ever (see any light sold on amazon)Ive never grown with one but I was around when they were banned from 420. You can certainly do better . There are a slew of light makers with transparent practices, verifiable know how, good reps and fair prices out there.
I know i'm having fun, but the end game is still the point@Powertech
Agree. But i think it's far better than back in the dark ages, like 5 years ago. Back then every greedy kook was marketing the brightest light with the best spectrum. Meanwhile they were drop shipping imported junk. I think that things have gotten way better. Now there is much more DIY and knowledge sharing plus all the fanatical builders pushing the tech all the time. Back then it seemed like all of the weed sites combined held about 5 knowledgeable guys. Now there are like 50 legit light builders. If a newbee was seeking to learn the diy basics or wanted critical info to make a purchasing decision it would be far easier and more fun to do today than the darker ages.
I pretty sure I know next to nothing compared to some of these guys, I was going to to go for a platinum after a friend I know has been getting success. After looking into things a bit further I decided to a bit more future-proofing as I knew I would probably would want to make an upgrade later down the line. One thing I can definitely say after doing extra research is that the claim they make that white light between blue and red in the spectrum is not used so white light led's are inherently inefficient, is complete horseshit. Yes some green light is less efficient to produce in LED form and the plant may not use as much as blue or red for photosynthesis, but the plant will still use this light to grow. That's what I have gathered from several videos and articles from professors on the subject.so that light sucks???
Hey manIf you're actually going to utilize the light for both veg and flower, straight 3000K with no added 660nm Red boards is much better a spectrum. Too much Blue, really prohibits your girls from blowing up.
you don't want 660 during veg because yes, stretch. I don't think blue will do much for your frost, gotta go farther in the spectrum and get that UVHey man
Could you please explain your thinking on this topic? Do you say no 660 because of stretch? Would you utilise 660 in flower? With regard to blue do you mean blowing up in flower? Do you think blue improves frost and terpines in flowering?
If 660 was on its own channel would you say that's beneficial once flowering has commenced?you don't want 660 during veg because yes, stretch. I don't think blue will do much for your frost, gotta go farther in the spectrum and get that UV
Yes it would be. I have a few different reds, no actual use yet except I started using the far reds for fun. If you can put the reds on a separate channel do itIf 660 was on its own channel would you say that's beneficial once flowering has commenced?
Appreciate.Yes it would be. I have a few different reds, no actual use yet except I started using the far reds for fun. If you can put the reds on a separate channel do it
Its 900w right? Good winter light from afar.$750
What @Rocket Soul said, I'm using far reds right now for the hell of it (730nm), the 660's are good for flowering, but they won't put the plants to sleep or wake them upAppreciate.
I've got 660s on a bar that I was using to initiate dark period. I didn't notice much effect. Next time I might just let them run through flowering.
I find high blues like the 440-490 nm can be pretty pronounced or loud as long as their is enough full range reds & of course enough green & other nm's (McCree). In turn, getting high thc/terps, more density & bag appeal. All while yielding what i think is more then say a 3k w/ 660. Plus easier to grow many plants i feel. My lights have 4k levels of 450 + a fair amount of 470 & they stretch to HighHeaven. Reason being is the balance to All the reds. Not a guessing game either. So, nice stretch (No Bosia Efect), Dense buds with mega purpling, frost ontop of frost, Loud Ass Terps & record breaking yeilds in my garden. That's why im Die-Hard Amare bro.@radiant Rudy
660 for end of day wont do anything, you need 730. 10w of modern far reds well distributed for approx 100seconds per m2. As in 15w/ 100secs for a 4x4. You can use 660 for vegg but id mainly add more blue: blues annd violets are tthe bbest nm to open the stomata which seems to be problematic and importantt under led lights as they lack the heat.
Blue in flower seems to increase thc/terps but only in concentration: seems like you get less yield but same total thc. But judges are still out on this one.
