I had a bucket full of mouldy popcorn bud once. Shit I had tossed out with trim and forgot about. Had a mate over and he spotted it.

That was a direct quote from him. He bagged It all up took it home and smoked it hahahaha. Lived to tell the tale so it must work lol
Yeah fuck that I ain't giving it to anyone but the chooks lol

I found when I have led tents they would mature earlier than the hps tents, The buds were ok, but not quite as weighty as the hps ones.
Tell that to my plants that are taking ages to flower
Ive found that but the price of running hps isn’t worth the extra power bill. I don’t need air con with led. Just like I run hps in the winter so I don’t need a heater.
I also enjoy growing with leds the most

for me it entirely depends on the led I’m using. Plants under My cutter panel flip and finish quicker than my home built bridglux strips by about a week to a week and a half.

As long as you enjoy what you are doing. Each 600w hps adds approx $50. per month to my power bill.

No i have not the 315 cmh an 600hps tent i run actually runs hotter than the DE when its set to 1100.

I only bought the de as a mate got busted by real estate an i got em cheap.

Heres some marketing for ya.

Last part fkn lie.
I just finished a run with 2x HLG 550 V2 rspecs over a 4x8. For a single light for veg to flower it did a decent job, actually better than I was expecting.
I’ve run the same plant under 1000W HPS before and I think the bud end result under HPS was better, more flavour and a bit stronger. Maybe because there’s no UV with the HLG or the amount of red and IR? The buds with the HLG are definitely denser, although maybe not as large as with the HPS. In saying that though I was using 4x the W with HPS.
I’m thinking of adding some UV during the next run, with some 315 CMH or T5 UV.

For me going LED was due to having to relocate my room and I lost the 12’ ceiling height I had with the Gavita’s. I’ve got no choice than having to use AC and it was heaps cheaper only having to put in 3.5kw and the overall run cost was nothing compared to 4x 1000w DE and 7kw of AC.

I’m still in two minds though.
I’d never put in the deep reflector DE’s again unless I had 12-15’ ceilings, although I’d consider the Hellion CMH and HPS DE’s for another room.

well that entirely depends on power prices. For me it’s more like $90 a month + the cost of running an ac which would push it to well over $100 a month extra.

Hellion HPS DE’s for another room. I've got these running at present, They seem really good so far.

Be interested to hear more about them since you’re using them. I’ve been considering a new room. How’s the hanging height, spread and temps? Are the marketing claims true?

First time I have used them. If the ballast is connected to the shade fixture you loose about 250mm, but you can get fittings so the ballast is outside the tent, so its not an issue.

I'd be willing to bet you could lay those ballasts over if unwanted to like I did with my high bay fixtures

250mm due to the ballast is no big deal for me, I’ll be standard ceiling height room 2.4m.
What height above canopy are you running them?

There's ways to do that. One thing I notice they aren't as hot as a normal hps.

About 300 to 400mm. All I do is put the back of my hand under the light a move it down till i just feel a little warmth on the back of the hand. Thats the easiest way to find your height.

Ok, that is close.

Btw, read your posts re your user name and martial arts. Well done!
I did 35 years of training and competing. Mainly Sanda, Wing Chung, BJJ, and freestyle wrestling when I went to an American syllabus high school. Was Si Hing in our club for many years. Last comp I did was when I was in my lateish 40’s, about 10 years ago now, and placed 3rd in the state titles for ground fighting / submission.
