Just getting started at this but picked up quite a few seeds from my father-in-law who used to grow regularly in the medical community. Have a 4x4 grow tent, running a 600 watt HPS with a MH conversion bulb for veg and 600 HPS for bloom. 6 inch fan with carbon filter for exhaust. Popped some seeds under a cheap 1200 watt led. Some will stay indoors, a couple will go outdoors, a couple to family members, and hope if I get dual sexes of one strain, a couple will be isolated to make more strain specific seeds. I am stuck at home with no job due to the VIDS, so thought I would start a grow or 2 to pass the time.
I don’t have any high expectations and would happily welcome advice and comments.
I have 2 nutrients on hand left over from a very low key outdoor grow from last year, Buddha grow & bloom but I will order more if need be.
The seedlings I currently have are in 18oz solo cups in NFTG #4 soil which was available to me locally. I still have 4 bags of it and am planning to mix with 25% perlite and transplant into 3 or 5 gallon felt pots for the indoor depending on how many I choose to grow indoors after sexing and gifting. The outdoor plants will be put directly in the ground and filled with the same soil.
Plants and seeds are as follows:
5x Wallyduck c99 x grapefruit (pineapple pheno) 2 are a week old, 3 more germinating
2x Rare Dankness Facewreck, Just popped in the last couple days, seedlings
2x BC Gold unknown breeder one a week old, the other a just sprouted seedling
3x G13 x skunk unknown breeder, one sprouted, 2 germinating
3x Early Purple Kush unknown breeder, germinating. The first 2 were the only of the original seeds I tried germinating that didn’t germ and were black inside so just hoping these germinate.
Some of these seeds were from 15 years ago (stored in rice in the refrigerator) so pretty impressed with germ rate so far and have access to 100+ more seeds with even more different strains so I’m not stressing .
Have all the week olds and seedlings under 600 watt mh conversion with a temperature controller, keeping it at 79 Fahrenheit At the highest . Unknown humidity but it has been raining here lately and they are in the garage, so I assume it’s doing ok until I am able to get a hygrometer. Going to order some new bulbs because the ones I a working with are of unknown age. Have 3 600 watt HPS lights, 2 400 watt mh, and one 1200 watt led to work with so lights shouldn’t be a problem for the indoor grow.
