when to move outside

I'm located around London and I've always put plants out around Victoria day weekend. Sometimes a week early if its a really nice spring. These 2 links give a rough idea based on your location for last spring frost and first fall frost.

Like BMX said, around mid May is probably when to aim for. And as well as the temperature, you also do not want to put it outside too early or it could trigger an early flower due to the short days. some people will move their plant outside during the day if its warm enough and then bring it inside at night and put under a light again to make sure they still get at least 16hrs of light to make sure the plant stays in Veg. You also must harden off the plant by getting it used to the outside. Cant just keep it inside and dump them outside in May. Start with just a couples hours a day outside at first, starting in a couple of weeks or so, and gradually increase the time they are outside until they are out for a full day, then a full night. If they are still looking good then you should be ready to go!

I live in northern Wisconsin and cant put them out until the 3/4 mark of may. Even if it has been nice alls it takes is one good last hard frost and it can be devastating (especially to a plant that isnt as well developed yet)

The other guy is in america unless im mistaken? So you grow in london Outdoors? What strains you running? I live in countryside uk and done my first outdoor grow last summer, my buds ended up airy and no density to them! They was in 20 litre pots and i only needed to water them 2 times from putting them out as tiny seedlings, the english weather done the rest, thats why they was so airy they was overwatered every time i went to check them the pots were really heavyso i never gave them any juice. Just wondered if you have had this problem and how you may have dealt with it, im thinking shield the soil from rain so i have control over what the plant gets? Maybe cling film around the top of pot or something like that, But then i worry what effect this will have on the soil and roots possibly mould etc, just wondered if you have had same problem?

lol Ontario is in Canada and London is a city in Ontario as well as the UK. We stole a lot of names over here. I actually live near Dorchester, outside of London in Middlesex county lol. Ya we aren't very original.
To answer your question if I'm not planting in the ground directly, I use swamp tubes outside guerilla style in swamps. Basically you cut the bottom off your container and let the moisture from the ground weep into the pot. Sounds like your soil is too dense and needs some perilte or something similar. Also 20 liters isn't very big, I use 120 liter containers for swamp tubes. And i use slow release fertilizer so i don't have to worry about feeding them and watering them. Swamp tubes stay watered and if I'm doing a ground grow i have ways to water them remotely.

we done 27 auto frisian dew from dutch passion good germination rate only 1 didnt pop up.
I started late, half way through june so chose to go with some fast autos!
better than nothing they was powered from the english sun, saved me alot of money as i havent bought anything off the street and probably wont have to because i still got enough to smoke till next outdoor harvest

ahaha, ya there's a lot similar names used in Canada. Victoria is in British Columbia (super orginal that!), but we also have a Surrey, a Richmond, a New Westminister etc etc etc...ya not very original at times. We use a ton of English names but then mix it up with some First Nations/Aboriginal names as well...which can be pretty weird, closer to Welsh sometimes than anything else i can think of (as far as long names/weird pronunciations) lol. Makes it interesting at times.To give you an idea the sheer amount of english crossover...

I’m in Muskoka Ontario. I usually start my outside crop inside in a 4x4 tent grow nine 18/6 light and on June 1 I put them outside and they veg for another while and usually use fast flowering strains so there done early oct instead of late oct when it’s crappy out usually get massive yields cause ythey veg for 4 months last year 9 plants got me just over 7 pounds
