Day 42 on the Auto AK47s. We're starting to see some buds so I think they're done stretching, which would be good because I have the SF2000 as high as it can go without getting creative!
Day 86 on the NL auto and the buds are start to bulk up. Still a ways to go though!
And the main reason for this update ... the 4AM has moved into the big girl tent in what will be her final pot (3 gal). She will be the first plant I try my own soil blend on. It's a mix of COM lobster compost, biochar, sea bird guano and Coco for drainage. Hope it's not too hot for her this early but we'll see.
The other NL was evicted last night. I came in the tent and the surface was just crawling with fungus gnats. Every other plant seems to be clear. Combined with her weird growth and slow maturation, I decided it was time to move on. Since I removed her there ha e only been 3 gnats on the sticky trap. She's outside now. Kind of curious how long she lasts with these cold nights. She will continue to teach me things even as she dies.
Also, added an HLG65 to the mix today. Got it positioned over the little 4AM so if she starts stretching too much I can drop it closer individual of the big girls. No idea where the Black Cherry Pebbles will go when she's ready but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

No real changes in the photo tent so no new photos today. Turns out I did not have a chlorine excess but that the soil pH was way too low (thanks @Renfro!). I couldn't find a good pH pen locally so one is on its way via Amazon and for now I've been trying to manage the pH by testing the runoff. No sign of new damage so it's working well enough I guess.
Clone and seedling tent is getting crowded. Clones seem to be doing better this go around. Just need to get 4 to survive for my friend circle.
Bruce is going outdoors in about a month, hope I can keep her happy in there until then. The Ketama is actually going to go to a greenhouse to be cared for by another friend. I started them way too early so I could get my buddies clones going but now they have no home if they outgrow this space. I'm not too concerned though, I really just want to clear some room for the next round. Trying to decide if I want to do 2 plants in the CMH tent after the SOG or try and squeeze 3 in there. Useful's Orange Cookies x Chocolate Diesel and 3Thirteen's Monkey Juice are definitely going in, just thinking I might try and squeeze a Katsu's Key Lime Pie or Greenpoint Rum Runner in there as well.
My plan right now is run the Autos and Fem Photos for another 2 cycles per tent. Then I should have a pretty substantial stash, at which point I'm going to switch to the regs and hopefully start messing around with a little of my own breeding.

Big news today is that I celebrated 4/20 by dropping a Useful Orange Cookies x Chocolate Diesel and Monkey juice. Also donated Bruce to a friend in need.

Day 50 for the auto AKs. Buds are starting to develop more rapidly now.
Day 94 for the NL auto. I won't be surprised at this point if some of the photos in the other tent finish before this gal.
4AM seems to be liking my new soil mix and is taking off. Really hoping to grow her all the way through only top dressing with no other nutrients.

In the photo tent the buds are filling out and getting frosty.
Some observations:
The Cheese started off really strong but wound up on the smaller side. Barely stretched and the buds are kind of on the small side. Conversely, the Lemon Cheese started slow but has shown remarkable vigor, and is the only plant that shows absolutely no sign of the low root zone pH that affected all the others, despite having the same issue.
Dinafem's Critical+ 2.0 is the biggest plant and far and away the current leader for yield. It's a gorgeous little plant and really thrived in this small container grow. The Florida OG and Fruity Widow are the other two strains that seem to have thrived the best in this grow.
The Cheese is sad because the person that's supposed to care for it was busy fucking with their chickens and vegetables and didn't notice how badly she needed water.

Clones and seedlings. OC X CD and Monkey Juice are into some FFOF now. BCP has some really weird looking first leaves but I'm guessing it's just from havingbher helmet get stuck on and forcefully removed. Starting to grow much quicker now and probably going into her next pot this week sometime.
Dropped 2 x Wicked Pissah Sour Sheriff, and a Mephisto 4AM and Forum Stomper x Forgotten Cookies. One SS and the FS x FC are for my outdoor grow, the other two will be joining a friend's garden. The Ketama is headed for the greenhouse. I got plants everywhere right now!

Day 61 on the auto AKs. Day 105 for the NL auto. NL is getting close finally. Going by trichs alone I'd probably chop her but she just doesn't look quite done. Gonna let her run just a little longer.

Well unfortunately the Sour Sheriff from WickedPissah just broke my years long perfect germination record. One never cracked and the one that did damped off. I haven't had that happen in ages either. Every other seedling in the tray germinated just fine as usual and are happily planted in their little pots, but I'm not sure what went wrong. One sheriff left but I think I'm holding off on dropping it, I have plenty to work with right now.

Chopped three if the photos today at exactly 60 days from flip. They officially beat the NL Auto to the finish line despite being planted after.
First up, Brothers Grimm Cinderella XX.
Main observation on this one is even the side buds are nice and dense. Almost no popcorn. This one leans towards the fruity side in odor, but isn't overwhelming.

#2 - 710 Genetics Fruity Widow (dubbed Jr for being the smaller of the two).
Jr definitely leans to the widow side of things and has an acrid, ammonia smell to her. Way more popcorn on this girl, most of her weight was in the main cola.

And speaking of main colas, we have Fruity Widow Sr. Polar opposite end of the spectrum, this girl smells like compost and mangos. Sickly sweet. Same general structure as the other FW, lots of larf.

Yeah man, I was super excited to snag those beans. GLG was sold out and suddenly one pack appeared in stock so I scooped it. Someone didn't pay for their order!
Her and the Orange Cookies x Chocolate Diesel are going into flower next, just gotta get this run wrapped up.

Wish my phone camera was better but ... the day is finally here! The NL Auto got the chop earlier! Day 117 from seed. Good yield, more than I expected from an auto, but overall kind of a disappointment. The buds have nice bag appeal but the smell is pretty mild. Hopefully it's better after a good cure.
I didn't get to weigh the haul fresh this time because my lady was using the scale for some baking, but I'm guessing it will around 3 ounces dry, give or take.

The other 6 photos have a ways to go still. Probably 2 weeks at least before any others finish. The Lemon Cheese has a long ways to go still.
The veg/auto tent is a little crowded today because I needed my clone tent for drying. But tomorrow the outdoor plants are going to a new home to start hardening off. Monkey Juice and Orange Cookies x CD are next, followed by Key Lime Kush and Chem 91 x CD for the photos tent. Got some more Mephisto seeds coming too, Skywalker and Northern Cheese Haze, plus whatever freebies they send this go around.
The BCP and 4AM are chugging a long. Think I should have added more perlite to my super soil mix. Speaking of which...
Prepped my super soil mix for the outdoor ladies. Plants will probably harden off for a week then out they go!

Been a little busy so the journal is getting out of date. But not much is changing right now. Took clones from the Monkey Juice and OC x CD. The original plants will be getting up-potted as soon as I have a free moment.
BCP and 4AM are doing good but I've had to start feeding them some CalMag. Had been hoping the lobster compost would take care of it but apparently it's still not enough. The big auto AK looks like hell but the buds are filling in nicely so I'm just not stressing it right now. The little one is doing much better.
The remaining 6 photos are chugging along and closing in on their harvest date. I switched to the Veg+Bloom Dirty with Life+ and all my pH issues were resolved. I'm done with bottled nutes. I've said it before, but I mean it this time! Everything I have left is either getting donated to friends or dumped in the garden.
Here's the outdoor girls who are in their final pots now, one Ketama "landrace" from WOS in a 15 gallon pot and a Mephisto Forum Stomper x Forgotten Cookies in a 5 gallon. A Skywalker x Double Grape will be joining them in a couple weeks.
They are in a super soil mix I'm trying for the first time so fingers crossed for good results!

If this AK auto doesn't finish up soon I'm gonna need to buy another 5 gallon pot. Got too many plants going right now.

My "super soil" definitely isn't feeding as well as I had hoped. Top dressed the 4AM with more of that mix and fed 4ml of CalMag.
All the other plants got a nutrient mix of 4g Veg+Bloom and 0.5g of Life+ with 4ml CalMag per gallon. Soil pH is chilling at 6.5 now that I punted the GH nutes.
Mephisto Skywalker x Double Grape and Northern Cheese Haze sprouted today and went into 1 gallon pots. Up-potted the Key Lime Kush and Chem x CD as well.
