Megacrop

I pretty much follow the recommended dosage and run both Mega Crop and Sweet Candy after the 2nd or 3rd week with Bud Explosion as soon as I flip to flower. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the need for hot water to dissolve the Mega Crop properly..
Ken's Grandaddy Purple 2 weeks before harvest. A picture's worth a thousand words.
Does the Sweet Candy actually help yield wise or is it just a carbo load type thing?

I can only give you a scientific answer ... just this
I found someone using Greenleaf Nutrients products on gorwdiaries.com that was getting nearly 50% more yield than I was with the same strains and a decent setup. Decided to try it (ego involved much?) and found it did in fact irove yield significantly over Jack's 321.
The 4 plants I showed in the 5x5 yielded 30+ozs dry, and 4 plant Mephisto Alien vs Triange (autos) grow yielded about the same (that's crazy for autos)

Alright screw it, good enough for me lol. I'll order both the bud explosion and sweet candy and see how things turn out. I'm not usually much of a carbo load guy as I've never been able to tell the difference between using it or not but your results look great so I'll give it go just in case it's more than that.

Just talked to a customer that was using Mega Crop in veg and he's also used it in flower twice an says he got 2/lb per light so he's sticking with it. Since I ran out we decided to split 1/2 skid so will put in an order for ones next week, I think Greenleaf is still on back order too. I also do have anther customer that wanted to split a skid but I can't afford the moment, it would bring he price down quite a bit though.

You're not confused been in a store since 2003. I've seen guys hate on GH cause they couldn't get good results but got awesome results using Supernatural and vice versa. Guys who swore by AN and gave them magical yields and spent $15K per crop in food lol and guys who hated AN as couldn't get a 1lb per light from it but got 1.5+ from Botanicare.

Do we need 6 bags like Plant Prod or 3 like Jacks or 1 like Megacrop?

Nutrilife Plant Products now Pi Nutrients used to have their ABC powders. A+C in veg and B+C in flowers. Can't remember what was in the C it was either Calcium nitrate or Micro nutrients. People didn't use it as it wasnt complex and not 5+ bottles lol
Do you have any MC in stock?

So just heard back from Greenleaf Nutrients this morning and apparently Sweet Candy and Bud Explosion are both PK boosters but Sweet Candy is meant for "soil type medias" and Bud Explosion is for "non-soil media types" and obviously not meant to use together.

Good to know. I suggested that they make that a little more black and white in the descriptions.

In coco. I've used the sweet. But I could do without the P and K.

Same gripe about their BE - too much K. A Cal-nit or MKP are alternatives.

I think Megacrop is great for vegging plants, but for flower I ended up using MAP and MPK as well as a liquid Cal/Mag with decent B+ results.

Ugh I'm about out and nobody has any. Week 5 flower so this sucks. Girls look great though doing 700ppm.

Are you using anything else with it or just straight mega? I can't decide whether or not to use it during flower. Seems to be some mixed reviews.

When I did the giveaway I sent people Dextrose, MKP+MAP mix and Potassium Chloride (0-0-62) which some said they did good. The first two would be week 3-6 once a week and the Muriate of Potash around week 6-7 by itself and just water.

I hope you find someone to do those side by sides. Be really interesting to see what those result.

Hopefully you will get the latest and greatest! MC Hammer v4.0.

Starting around May 6, 2020 (first half of May from USA and Canada sites), we are releasing a new updated formula of our original Mega Crop 1 part fertilizer. UK/EU formula will not get updates stock until later in 2020. Notable changes are described here:

  • More fine and ground powder consistency. We are grinding the “large white balls” that were present in the previous versions, which help make it more of a uniform type powder. For smaller growers especially, this will help them get a uniform even dose at low doses very easy.
  • Higher Magnesium (Mg) and Calcium (Ca). Yes, this was always a common request, and this should help prevent the requirement for any extra supplements especially for heavy feeding strains and growing conditions
  • Higher Phosphorous (P). This will help reduce the need for any extra boosters or supplements, and give overall better flowering and fruiting.
  • Lower Potassium (K). Our previous formulas always had quite a bit of K, so we are slightly reducing it in order to make room for other benefits above
  • Different form of Kelp extract (Ascophyllum Nodosum). We are including black flake type kelp which is higher quality, and increasing the quantities significantly. So there should be overall more kelp benefits from the updated formula.
