Acquired some strawberry banana clones on Tuesday. This is my second grow but first grow using clones so will be a new experience.

Here's my setup.

4 X 4 tent
Mars Hydro TS1000 170w
HLG Qb260 V2 (2 qb288s) 270w
4inch Rhino Hobby Carbon Filter
Shitty Black Orchid 4inch in line fan (low CFM, gonna switch it to an intake fan)
Manrose mf100s ( coming to replace black orchid as exhaust)
2 20 litre smart pots
2 12 litre smart pots
Bio bizz all mix
Bio buzz nutes
4 strawberry banana clones

Will upload some pictures very soon but I believe these clones may have some deficiencies if anyone can help identify them. Received them on Tuesday so trying to get them back to perfect health asap

On Tuesday I transplanted them after their journey to let them settle into their new home as fast as possible. One looked more poorly than the rest. I ran out of soil whilst potting up lol but the rest should come today. I gave them a small feed and water based on their size although I question if this was smart as I'm using fresh all mix.

On Wednesday the qb288s arrived I plan to run it together with the mars hydro however the temps increased so I've switched the mars hydro off till the new inline fan comes.

Pics up shortly

Today ^^

Pretty sure they're deficient on something as well let me know. Lastly I fimmed them apart from the one on the back. Probably soon but I'm a little impatient sometimes.

Can anyone help me out here? What do they look like they're needing to perk up? Not sure if it's a magnesium deficiency. MVIMG_20200429_154330.jpg

New inline fan was setup few days ago, much better. Temps around 28° with both lights on and stronger negative pressure. Would like to get it to 26° though. Doesn't feel like 28° however so wondering if this thermometer is reliable and have got another one on the way.

Friday 1st - watered 2l in both 20l, watered 1.5l in both 12l and fimmed the last one

Saturday 2nd - noticed some growth which is good, did my first ever light lst on three of them. Seen a lot of people bend it 90°, I think I'll gradually get there.

Really don't wanna go through a long veg time. Hopefully some super growth happens within two weeks time.

They seem a decent size. I would start them on a 600-800ppm nute schedule.
I'm not measuring ppm on this grow, probably not a great idea but I've spent a lot more than I intended so have to chill out for a bit. I've just been giving them biobizz grow with each watering and only needed to water them twice since I got them.

How's my Lst? Gradually I'll get the main stem more horizontal. Really trying to focus on training to improve yield.

You can pinch the stem and it should bend without you"forcing it". You're still gonna have to veg at least 3-4 weeks min to get a "worth it" yield. Also with LED you can run a tad warmer room.

Yeah I feel like I could have bent them a bit further but I just weren't sure of the state of them since some of the leaves were yellowing when I received them so I've been taking it easy so far. Good to know, the room doesn't feel too warm tbh so I'm positive they're fine. I think they responded well to fimming as well. Hopefully the yellowing was due to them using up the nutes in the previous soil they were in.

I'm willing to go 3 weeks I was actually meant to do gelato 41 and gorilla zkittlez in two 3x3s alongside these clones, I guess those would have had longer veg times so 3 weeks should be fine.

At first when I received these I was concerned about some of the yellow and faded leaves but I'm assuming those leaves won't get better. The new leaves are looking healthy anyway.

I've been tucking leaves where I can to allow light to the lower shoots and it seems to be working alongside the slight lst. I feel like they're drinking water slow, not really sure never used fabric pots before and the soil still feels moist after 3 days.

What you think?

Been thinking about it and I've probably been giving them too much water, they were in tiny pots when I received them and I put them straight into these smart pots. I'm guessing they need to build their roots before they can drink the amount I've been giving them because the soil still feels moist to me. I'll give em less water next time and see how that works out. MVIMG_20200505_225446.jpgMVIMG_20200505_225643.jpgMVIMG_20200505_225839.jpg

Ordered an inkbird humidity controller and humidifier + dehumidifier to get my humidity dialled in correct. Should help when the drying stage comes along as well so that's a plus. Was contemplating getting a temp controller as well but would be no point using it on my exhaust fan for cooling as it would stop the fan once the temp had been reached and I'd have no negative pressure. Or does anyone have any use for the inkbird temp controller that I haven't thought about?

Anyway today just bent and tied down the main stems a bit more to allow more light to the new shoots. Seems to be working. I was definitely right about overwatering by the way.

How dry do you let your pots get before watering? Soil still feels moist after 6 days. The plants were potted quite deep in the pot as I ran out of soil when transplanting.

Do they look happy and healthy? Someone chime in. MVIMG_20200507_155046.jpgMVIMG_20200507_155125.jpg

They look fine. Usually every 3-4 days it gets either water or feed.
Thanks, I watered since it had been about a week but cut back on how much I watered them until I'm positive the roots are filling the pot out.

Can't wait for them to bush out so I can flip em. Read up on the higher temps with led as well which makes sense so I'm happy. Temps have been at 30°c with summer approaching which was bugging me till I read up on it.

I have a very small space I'd like to start 2 plants from seed in. Its 29x75x50cm (WxHxD) roughly. My plan is to move them into the 4x4 once it's free so I don't mind a slow veg. Would this even be possible or worth it?
