Roots and transplanting

I just recently transplanted my 2 gallon pots to 5 gallon pots . While doing that I accidentally loosened up the roots and I do t know if I damaged them . I didn’t really damage the roots too much just kind of loosened them. I am a new grower I have three plants but I hope that they survive. I added great white when I watered to boost the roots . I will post pictures

I just went from 2 gal pots to 5 gals a week ago my roots got a bit loosened also but it actually seemed to have helped my plants, it has been growing like crazy since the transplant, so I wouldn't worry if I were you!

Every time I up-pot I intentially loosen the roots a little. Can actually help the plant grow.

That’s what I was thinking and that’s why I did it, then was told I might have damaged them. But instead I thought I might have helped

Some people go as far a scoring thick root balls with a knife down the sides, but I don't let it get that far.
