Without first going through whatever it was that I missed last night, yes, let me answer your question, Wikid.
But, first I want to address the issue of a moderator alleging harassment and stalking by me. That message that was sent to me was the second such message I received from you. Both were unwarranted, both were unwanted, both were unsolicited, and both were increasingly rude. I responded to one, and since the second one was even more rude and nasty than the previous, I did not respond to that one. If one is going to make an accusation, such as "stalking" or "harassment", one's argument might hold a little more water if the accuser were not the one doing the stalking and harassment. At each and every turn the equation has been quite simple--stop attacking me and I'll stop responding. Stop with the condescension and I'll stop handing it back. But, I'm a little fish here, I have no teeth.
Now you threaten me with infractions for harassment?
I ask again, what recourse does a "regular member" here have against a moderator who's made them the target of his unwanted attention? Following me through threads, trying to goad, making very direct insults and what would be considered, were they delivered between "regular members", personal attacks.
Ok, so, Wikid, you want to know if you're one of the crowd who drops trou, eh? For me to make a declarative statement as to whether or not I include you in the mix, I would have to go through all your posts. I have not been, and am not going to do that. Ultimately, though, you're really the best one to answer that question. Does getting "along well with everyone" equate to taking it up the ass from someone when they decide to dish out meanness, insults, and condescending? You tell me.
Yep, I've got some catching up to do on this thread, so I'll probably miss some posts. But, since I'm seeing this from Sunnyside, I'd like to address that directly as well. I'm sorry you "feel stupid" because of my posts. But, it's not my problem! See, I post here exactly the same way I speak to people in the real world. My assumption is that everyone else can read and understand what I'm saying, so my choice is to NOT dumb things down for people.
I assume that you ARE smart enough, and that if you don't know something that you've got your Big Girl/Big Boy undies on and have the wherewithal to ask or look it up. I could dumb things down, and would, if I thought I were addressing a group of children. But in my experience, those who say that my manner of speech makes them feel dumb or stupid or inferior usually have their own hang-ups to get past. Those hang-ups are yours, and therefore are not my problem. I will not dumb it down. How about all those who have a problem with how I express myself do what I do for you? Let me be me, as I let you be you.
So, Wikid, what do you have to say about those who attack spelling, speech and grammar from the other side? Like I read from someone in the past week or so, "don't be using that 'proper english' on me and shit".
You may not realize this, either, Wikid, but Dave went after fdd in exactly the same manner fdd has been going after me, him, and anyone else he has a problem with or however his mood strikes him. Now that I think about it, maybe you are one of the crowd, if you can't or won't see things as they are and can't be fair in your criticism.
See, that's what's gotten me the threats of infractions for harassment, after he told me to show/grow some balls. Just because he's a moderator doesn't mean my reading skills and memory have gone out the window. I see inconsistencies, I point them out or ask for clarification. Some folks really get their panties in a wad about that, can't stand being questioned. I'm the kid who saw that the emperor didn't have new clothes, he had no clothes.
