None of what you said int his post directly attributes the loss of man hours equivalent to a complete loss of production to the infection. It's due to people not working out of fear of infection. I don't disagree that at the height of a cluster of infections (not against calling it an outbreak but just referring specifically to a given plant) could cause said plant (any) to be forced to temporarily shut down. Keeping them closed, however, is not in such a case attributable to the infection, but to the lockdown. Even if every single worker were hospitalized simultaneously and half were unwilling to return immediately, which would be a worst case scenario, limited production could resume within days, particularly if they're allowed to hire whoever is willing. However, in no case has even a third of a plant's workforce been infected and of those infected, none of the stories you've linked have said how many were hospitalized.

some states have made it illegal not to go back to work, you would loose your unemployment benefits and health insurance and face fines and possible jail....
Wash your hands and stay home....lockdowns are working, be a life saver, not a greedy capitalist..

Which states are jailing people for not going back to work? Does this apply to those meat processing plants that were the topic when you interjected?

Support this claim with a citation.

I just got my Xiaomi Redmi Airdots. Only cost US $12 and a pandemic. They are freaking awesome though. They make the lockdown workout almost enjoyable. Gotta stay in shape!

I seriously doubt you really live in the US.

There's a lot of trolls out there just trying to bring America down, and I'm amazed at how many are on here.

Not conjecture but also maybe not exact. I think you're right to suspect there could have been other cases or that infection occured earlier but in general, clinically apparent cases are the only cases that end up with diagnoses and lab tests. Generally, they'd know when community transmission was going on.

I just don't feel like taking the effort to verify these countries had done aggressive contact tracing to expose infection chains at the earliest stages but I know that Denmark did, from something I read earlier and I know that Sweden was aware of the travel history of their patient zero. Sweden's patient zero had been to Wuhan and most the rest of Europe was infected via Italy. Germany may have been infected directly by Wuhan as well. It bears verification.

My shit is kept in a locked case in a locked room, so nobody has access to my guns but me.

I'm totally down for a little more gun control, but don't try to take away the rights of us responsible people because a few are idiots.

We just banned such weapons in Canada, it must be fear of losing your toy that caused you to vote for the republicans and Trump. So are ya gonna drink the orange Koolaid and Clorox this time around? The stink of bleach making yer eyes water would cause most normal folks to pass on bitter the cup.
