Looking for tips on timing of flushing during flowering.

Hi all!

I am currently growing 2 strawberry cough plants under 400 watts. I am into day 28 of flowering, and things are looking great.

I've heard that the timing of flushing is dependent on intuition, and the appearance of the flowers including the trichomes.

I am looking to flush the last 2 weeks of flowering with plain water so I get a good clean smoke. Does anybody have any tips for when to begin flushing? Perhaps I could do well just beginning to flush at the end of week 8? I have a microscope so I can look at things closely, I'm just not sure what other growers go off of when starting the flushing process.

Thanks,
G

Flushing is a myth and to get a good clean smoke you need to dry properly so chlorophyll breaks down properly An dont over feed.

Ah okay. If my leaves aren't nute burning, then does that probably mean I'm not overfeeding? Should I decrease nutrients towards the ends of the grow?

You can start to feed lighter at the end for sure. I always harvest all of my plants while they’re nice healthy and green.

Thanks for all of your input. Jonda- I read the trial and I think I'll put all of my focus into drying and curing conditions, and NOT flushing.

Thanks again Ya'll!

No problem buddy.

Personally I grow in coco and I never use straight water.

but I do taper my nutrients down towards the end of flower.
