I can't find any of that pro mix all I can find is pro mix organic and golf green organic this girl at canadian tire said friday there getting in soil that's for cannabis the chick that works there says she uses it all the time so tomorrow gonna check it out, when you think be a good time to switch these seedlings out of the yellow bag of mg potting soil ?I’m using pro mix hp... some use Bx... don’t trim those leaves till it grows a little more.
I started my babies in MG and they started showing signs on nitrogen toxicity early on, if you can transplant it I definitely would. It’s just annoying to not be able to control what’s going into your soil especially later onOk sweet thanks man, should I do the DIY greenhouse or leave them? And should I switch the MG potting soil for something better and organic?
Ya I'm not liking what I've been hearing about mg, what mg did you use ? The regular yellow bag stuff or moisture control mg?I started my babies in MG and they started showing signs on nitrogen toxicity early on, if you can transplant it I definitely would. Definitely don’t add anymore nutrients. I started out with the yellow bag, just the regular potting mix. The reason it’s so bad is because basically every time you are watering it, it’s getting fed since it has water activated nutrient bombs. Plants, especially that young, don’t need all that extra stuff and when they get older you wanna be able to control how much you are actually feeding it. (which is impossible with miracle gro) I would recommend transplanting it gently asap into something like Fox Farms Ocean Forest, they sell it at most local gardening stores.Should I put this in with the mg potting soil till I get new soil or should I just leave it and not add anything
Heres a pic
Ya I definitely want to get them out of the mg potting soil I've been careful watering them so those nutrient bombs arnt activating I water them 3 days ago when planted them in the mg 2 days ago it rained lightly the soil still is damp so prob dont need to water them, tomorrow at Canadian tire there getting potting soil in that's for cannabis I talked to this girl who works there and she said she uses it and the plants love it said to just add fish feeding or something from pets mart forgot it exactly remember its fish something lol so gonna get that soil tomorrow. I can't find fox farms anywhere home depot had nothing good Canadian tire also has golfgreen organic which heard isn't bad, better then mgDefinitely don’t add anymore nutrients. Oh ya? Do I add any nutrients later on or just water and let it grow? Also is this any good found it at my parents they bought it wondering if this be good I put some on top of the mg when I planted wondering if this with perlite and earthworms castings be good what you think ? It doesn't say its potting soil just indoor and outdoorBasic soil = 1 part peat moss + 1 part perlite + 1 part earthworm castings/compost.
Thats it! You can buy all 3 at almost any decent store, even lowes and depot and similar have worm castings and compost.
It looks good. It needs some aeration like perlite to help with regulating wate retention. So that plus about 1/3 perlite will work. Nutrients will be needed after several weeks.Oh ya? it wont kill it or put it in shock ?As soon as you can
It will be a lot more damage in the long run if you don’t switch it soon. Just be gentle, plant can recover from a lot while they are still youngit wont kill it or put it in shock ?
ok sweet thank you, they were started in one of those square root things so should be pretty easy to take them out unkess the roots have grown abit in the mg soil in the last 4 daysIt will be a lot more damage in the long run if you don’t switch it soon.
