What bubba is best for that coffee/earthy smell/taste

I'm wanting to grow some old school funky bubba. I'm confused about the different cuts of bubba though. Everyone says the Katsu bubba cut is the best, but is more piney and lacks the coffee/earthy taste and aroma. Everywhere I've read keeps pointing to the pre-98 bubba for the one thats got the taste/smell im looking for. I'm over all the millions of cookie crosses. I wanna grow some oldschool stinky, funky goodness with that strong earthy, coffee smell and taste. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Pre-98 is the one...also known as the swerve cut. One of my all time favorite smokes. Wish I could get a cut of her in my garden.

Email hazeman or dm him on OG at infinity genetics. His bubba crosses are pretty dang nice.

I'm not sure what bubba he used in the grape bubba I got from him but shit hits hard and is indica heavy. It tastes like grape laced hash kind of anyway.

Im not sure, I had grown some Alphakronik pre-98 crosses back in the day and didnt find anything interesting.

Katsu has a seed company with lots of pre98 crosses but I dont have any experience with his gear.

I have a straight hersheys coco pheno of Useful's gg4 x chocolate diesel. The orange cookies x cd have some all chocolate ones too but mostly orange

That looks incredible. I grow strictly for personal use and maby gift some to friends so im never worried about yield. I want dank flavor.

I suggest Katsu Seeds Pre '98 line. Most phenos of his stuff leans towards the '98 smell/flavor profile. I'd just go for one of the crosses with a larger yielding cross and phenohunt my selection.

I heard Katsu in a podcast really push for 70 days... he said potency really comes out....

Pre98 is some top 5 doja when it comes to flavor..diggity dank status

I have not had the Katsu cut, but I have heard from very reputable people with the cut many times over the years it is a little more coffee than 98. Sounds like you got the real deal. It is stretchier and yields bit more were the other traits.
