Legalize drugs? They are legal. Go to the right doctor and you can get what you want and it's clean. It's not that expensive and it's legal. Otherwise legalizing drugs is a terrible idea. My community has been destroyed by meth. It's also been destroyed by legal prescription drugs but that's because of the out of town crooked doctors, crooked patients, and people that cannot control their habits. Where I live street drugs are practically legal. If you keep to yourself you can get away with almost anything. You have to make a stupid move to get caught. Drive around all fucked up yeah, you're gonna get caught. Hang out with a shady crowd, yeah the cops are gonna watch you. Break into places to support your habbit? Yeah you're going to get thrown in jail if you don't first get shot by the homeowner. A lot of these people that get caught deserve it. I do have sympathy for some depending on the scenario. I don't think we should be throwing EVERYONE in jail. I think people should get more chances and better quality treatment. Most drug treatments are a joke but so are a lot of addicts.

Your post is just too loaded but I'll point out one thing, if all drugs were legal then they would be cheaper and addicts wouldn't need to break into places or commit other crimes to be able to avoid them. Win win. Addiction is a health problem not a criminal one, or it shouldn't be. I don't think I could convince somebody like yourself who doesn't seem to have sympathy for addicts.
