That’s why left it open ended for I don’t know if it makes it smoother.

Logically there is no difference in where the nitrogen comes from to feed the buds. But I don’t know what processes go on during that metabolism. Perhaps its easier to convert it than drawing it from the roots. I don’t know. Plants are complex things. As I’m sure you’re aware of. You don’t know until you know, you know?

No bother - I see what you’re getting at as there is a common myth surrounding flushed buds.

Makes a little sense if you over feed then flush for a long time so the plant packs on weight without too much food. But feelingly correctly and flushing would show less of an improvement. Could this be where they went wrong and people swear by ‘flushing improved the smoke’? When they simply just over fed?
Yeah I've always wondered where the myth came from.

I sort of chalked it up to a scenario where a new growers second grow is better then their first grow by sheer virtue of experience.

But perhaps they attribute the better bud to a new technique they tried the second grow, perhaps the flush, and not their experience. You're right though, who knows really! :)

The biggest bummer i see here frequently is the amount of newbies flushing weeks, sometimes several weeks before the plant is even close to done. Flushing should be for someone who has multiple grows under their belt and wants to try it out and see the difference. Regardless of if it makes a difference or not. A five week plant, flushed and harvested weeks early is pretty commonplace here

This sums up most of the “is my plant ready” threads.
