Confused about Super Silver Haze

Id say mr nice mago haze is the best of all.

The problem is it’s a pheno hunt a long one at that

I grew some chem sis x nevs haze and one of them had the strongest mango smell .. like ripe mangos .. then I read that mango haze and nevs shared a dad I think hzc.. they shared some kind of lineage

It's pretty well known at this point and part of the reason I don't mess with Euro genetics much anymore. Some of the bigger American breeders have even done it like Cali Connection... ship their genetics over seas and they mass produce it for a price... As with any industry mass production = decrease in quality.

Arjan from ghs seeds stole shantis work from what I heard. His white widow, few hazes. Shanti was the master breeder, arjan was the dutch marketing dude all about making the big bucks. Reason shanti from mr nice has to call his white widow, black widow is because he was sued by ghs when he left and started mr nice, his black widow is the real deal by the way. I'm not really into hazes and those old school strains, I like cookie/cake crosses, but I have seen lbs of mr nice grown super silver and mango haze and it was fire. If you were going to go with a haze I would personally go with mr nice stuff over ghs. Shanti is a legendary breeder, him and Neville were good friends. I had a buddy that grew some ghs stuff and the shit smelled like hay.

Ok, that pretty much says it all. I've read recently that GH's genetics aren't what they were years ago, and in several separate posts. I'll keep trying for Mr. Nice’s Mango and Super Silver Hazes until I get them at a reasonable price. I already have my hands on some Black Widow, Ortega and Skunk Haze, these will just be the icing on the cake for me.

You sure about that? I thought mr nice and crew used that name, then changed to silver haze.
Green houses was the super silver haze that won all the cups in the late 90's.

I’ve been trying to buy master kush x skunk for like 2 years I refuse to pay 80-90 bucks .. and those damn auctions and site I can’t navigate or have patience for I wish he would have normal working site like anybody else with auctions ..

From what i read, Shanti was a cofounder and partner, Arjan was the money and advertising.
Partnership went south, Shanti was paid out his share and moved on. Reads like a typical business deal.
They both made money together but the one that got bought out lost claim to the names that were established when together..

The insane SSH pheno that blows your mind is amazing... 2000/2001 Mr Nice SSH very sativa structure ...fluffy smelled and tasted like Road Kill Skunk... Honestly blew the doors off OG Kush....

All the SSH now is like Jack Herer ...No thanks... The DinaFem Royal Haze is pretty dank though... its like the J1 clone in SoCal

On page 2, It says that they've kept the same parental plants alive for over 20 years, so I'd assume that the genetics haven't really changed, it's just a matter of finding good phenos.

After some failed attempts at getting SSH at the MNS auctions recently, I was inspired by this forum thread to try again and I actually won tonight!
Thanks to all.

Mango Haze will be my next one to try to get, it'll be nice to try both during my next grow.

As far as I can remember it was sweet pine / spicy ..., u kno how hazes have that haze smell it’s sweeter tho

Flower times are shorter than regular ssh supposedly.. I’ve only had it like 2x but it was during the prime “piff” era .. and it was better than some of my piff batches by far .. but it was indoor grown a lot of that piff was dep / in’s / out

I’m hoping it lands by this week .. I’m popping them ASAP

I have a few hazes on their way from Mr. Nice now, they'll be a big part of my next grow as long as they get here in a reasonable amount of time. Super Silver Haze, Mango Haze and Skunk Haze are coming, as well as Ortega and Black Widow. So excited because I've never tried any of their gear yet.

It's going to be a very, "Nice" grow, lol.
