Yes you get it finally, now this sites about right or wrong, weve had enough rubbish from the industry and growers and dont need pictures to explain herms humidity and how to dry.
that was the issue i was having before. The cheapo pens require calibration way too often. The cheap ph pens are completely fine. If someone isnt keeping the probe in storage solution, and checking the calibration at least once every few weeks, that's their fault, not the equipment.
dude im from the city. Our tap ph is normally 8-9. Fucked my plants up completely when i wasnt phing. I thought i had every issue in the world until i started to PH again with my blue pen and then everything went back beautiful with no issues. Anyone who says you dont need to ph isnt completely right. It depends on your water source and soil can only buffer so much.If you grow in soil then PH doesnt mean to much unless its way the fk out from the tap which isnt normal. (not saying someone hasnt had a tap water PH of 8 or something silly but its not normal)
I had to buy a PH probe when i moved into soil less mediums.
True words my dude. After all the trial and error im like yeaaaaa im pretty sure I personally need to ph my water source. Just dechlorinating doesnt work for me.What you have learned is you gotta do what works for you. Not what works in someone elses environment and thier soil.
Your situation is not the same.
Yeah but that depends on your water source. Ive tried not PHing my water and i always eventually get lockout. No matter if its a premixed soil or a custom soil mix.Grown in soil for decades and can not recall the last time I PH tested although I do recall numbers like 8 going in and 6 coming out. Makes no difference to me because I don't do it.
Start chasing numbers and you'll fuck it up.
Never had any PH problems I can recall.
Waste of time in my opinion and never have and never will. No need I've found from experience.
Dude, did you read what I wrote?dude im from the city. Our tap ph is normally 8-9. Fucked my plants up completely when i wasnt phing. Yeah i was agreeing with you and just expanding upon my experience lol. But yeah people dont realize how fucked up some tap water can be.Dude, did you read what I wrote?

when i personally ph my plants are healthy as can be. Thing is the ph issues really hit you when you flip to flower due to the increased need in uptake
you could say lucky in the sense that you have a solid water source i guess lol.Yeah I agree with all you are saying but some do find it fine not to test and grow good weed.
Yes it makes no sense according to the charts/nature/experts but it does happen.
Fuck knows how but I will never chase numbers. I go by appearance mainly and if the PH is fuck and the plant looks great I don't care about the PH.
Luck?
Don't know but each to their own I say and if you feel the need to PH in soil then it's fine.
I just don't have the need and never have. Guess I'm lucky?
I just looked at my Amazon account, and found that I bought my $13 pH tester in March of 2013. I've used it ever since over hundreds of plants in perpetual grows during the years since. The cheap ph pens are completely fine. Your amazon acct shows purchases from 2013?I just looked at my Amazon account, and found that I bought my $13 pH tester in March of 2013. I've used it ever since over hundreds of plants in perpetual grows during the years since.
I check calibration every three weeks to a month, and have not once had to adjust it. It settles at 4.1 on the 4.0 control, and 7.0 on the 7.0 control.
Why is that hard to believe lolYour amazon acct shows purchases from 2013?
cmon now spek
figured a old lad like you wouldn’t have been able to work a computer back then
LOL. At that time I had moved out of my position as the Senior Network Engineer at a large Internet Provider in Toronto that I held for 10+ years, and had moved on to the global network engineer for a large online gaming company, so although I'm getting up there in age, I was definitely able to work a computerfigured a old lad like you wouldn’t have been able to work a computer back then
