I do know that makes aren't as potent as females but still smokable but with lots of seeds.. View attachment 4610949

There are a lot of numbers being randomly pulled out of someone's ass there, and here's some biological facts for you: The male plant does not produce seeds. They produce pollen, which pollinate female plants who bear the seed creation responsibilities.

Male plants in regards to cannabis cultivation are useless outside of the pollen they produce.

Good morning from Bud
Happy Canada Day Bud!
What variety are you? I scanned through the thread but didn't see any mention of genetics.
However, I can say this, Bud looks bushy and healthy.
Ignore the "throw it away" crowd. Ask yourself this: what's your goal? To take care of a beautiful, healthy plant? Then you're already winning.
Do you have other confirmed female plants around, or is this your only plant?
Too many details left out here.

>there are times when I have him outside in the sun and he starts to droop

By the sounds of it Bud is not outside all the time. So what you need to do is harden him off so that he can start spending all the time out there. I recommend putting Bud outside for the night. Keep him inside the next few days when it gets the hottest out, but then in the evening leave him out - overnighting will harden him off faster. The following day, bring back in for a few hours when its sunny and hottest. otherwise if its overcast start leaving him out all the time. after 2 - 3 days of this he should be fine.

Careful though. You never know if you have a neighbor just around the corner who has some rare female genetics growing outdoors. If you seed their girl, they'll never forgive you!

What? That's not bud. It's a plant covered in male pollen sacks. It's not "bushy" either.

Please don't listen to this "advice". Bringing outdoor plants indoors creates a significant risk of bringing pest infestations that are a nightmare to get rid of along with them.

They are already bringing the plant indoors. Try to keep up.

So you're further promoting a known faulty procedure then to the OP, as well as all future readers. Gotcha.
Clearly this is person with a new interest in growing herb and their first time. Can you lighten up? If you don't like this thread, or the idea of people learing by making mistakes, then I suggest you find another thread where you can wank to the latest and greatest strains and grow techniques.

She called it "Bud" - nobody implied that the shown plant has 'buds'.

Happy Canada Day!

You are also risking pollinating any one else female plants that might be growing near you.
I have done some pollen chucking. Male Pollen doesn't spread as far in the wind as you think. Maybe a bee could do some damage after landing on a male and flying over to a female but its not as bad as people lead it to believe.

I had a male 100ft away from 4 females. The male was behind a wall under a tree in the shade and small never got seeds. But the males have to literally be pretty close to naturally pollenate

Happy Canada Day to you too!

I was just simply pointing out a couple of things that could be changed to avoid confusion for future new growers. Correcting OP on the use of "bud" when referring to a male plant is one example. Another is pointing out the significant risk that bringing outdoor plants inside can bring.
