Help spider mites

Please tell me OldMedUser, does Mighty Mite Control trash the leaves in Veg like Might Massacre does? Pisses me off. M'M' only real value is for fighting White Powder Mold at 1/2 strength, and that will not torch the leaves at least.
Couldn't tell you what it will do to the leaves. I've only ever used the Safer's and it doesn't seem to hurt nothing but bugs. Maybe doinga fresh water rinse the day after treatment will be easier on the leaves.

Mighty Wash does not effect the plants in any way..
OK I am now a believer Mighty Might does not affect vegging plants in any way. Sprayed twice. Stuff pours into spray bottle like Ectoplasm from Ghost Busters. Drips off like water and dries quickly with a fan.
Mighty Might Control Active Ingredients:
Canola Oil.......1.35%
Pyrethrins ….. 0.0075%
$45 per Gallon, $105 per 5 Gallons.

Safers End All Active Ingredients:
Potassium Salts of Fatty Acids ….. 1.000%
Extract of Neem Oil ….. 0.900%
Pyrethrins ….. 0.012% (1.6X more than Mighty, but Neem Oil = bad)
$35 per Gallon, also ready to use, not concentrate.

Any cheaper way to get same active ingredients mix and no harm to leaves? Please advise.

Thanks,

Well my 2 x sprays of SB Plant Invigorator and the introduction of the predators has done the trick again.
The Mighty Wash is the dogs too. Pricey though.
We are limited here for spray options in the UK.
I think I'll bomb the room after the plants are dry before putting the new batch in.
It's only a small area with 4 to six plants so easy to control the mites, they're a minor irritant.
Years ago I used to do a 7000 watt area with 50 plants and controlling an infestation of spidermites was a right pain in the asp lol

You shouldn't have any fan going in the room where you are doing your spraying. You want the spray to stay wet as long as possible to get the maximum kill rate. A cool room where you can leave the plants sitting in the dark after spraying works best.

I find no mention of Extracts of Neem Oil on my bottle of End All concentrate. Not on the label or fold-out detail sheet either.

I does mention in the emergency response that it contains petroleum distillates which I hadn't noticed before. Coffee creamers that are marked as an edible oil product also contain petroleum distillates so it's not something I'd worry about.

I used the fan after spraying considering Pyrethins nor Canola Oil evaporate, but the H2O carrier does dry up. I was so tired, forgot it was 4th day and time to spray again. I had little time. Cannot move them out of the shower with the pink goo dripping off, so I did it. Put the Air King Box fan on the toilet and blew them until the drippy drips stopped.

Maybe my area has different ingredients than yours for Safers End All? Amazon shows Neem in the Active Ingredients section; see here:

Also, is there a recipe to mix your own Vs. paying this much for the precious pink goey stuff?

Might Wash? Just says "Mighty" now. Website calls Mighty "Mighty Mite Control", but not on the bottle label.

That's different than mine for sure. Mine actually says End All II but the 'II' is very tiny so I have been referring to it as just End All so it must be a different product here in Canada where neem oil is not allowed as an insecticide. Can buy neem at the health food store tho for personal use.

When I can make 10L from a $14 bottle of concentrate I really don't feel a need to make a DIY version. Here the hardware stores pull all the gardening stuff off the shelves in the fall and garden centres shut down for the season even earlier. I've been thinking for years about opening some sort of gardening store on our acreage with a small greenhouse catering to the legal pot growing market. Would be concerned about drawing to much attention to my own less than legal activities tho. :)

Any thoughts on this stuff.....?

I and my friends have used it on several occasions for red spidermites and can guarantee it works.
Is it toxic to us humans?
My Hydro shop guy loves this stuff and he knows a ton. Its basically electrified water and you can use it up to harvest. I never try to use it past like week 3 of flowering. The key to stop mites is to spray plants early in the veg period.

I got rid of mine without going all nuts with harsh chemicals. Been over 6 months without a bug of any kind. Insecticidal soaps with oil added kills them fine by suffocating them and no bug can build a resistance to suffocation.

Chemical warfare is not required.
I'm having the same issue I fear, what insecticidal soaps are you referencing? Thanks

What part of alcohol to water will it hurt my buds
Noo ive see that Hydrogen Peroxide 3% is helpful for kill pest and spider mites so juat put like 5 ml into one liter water shake it then pour in spray can and spray on bud lighty not too close of it just like 1foot away from plant and spray it it will kill mites that how i see on youtube its helpful.

i just do 5ml into gal water then shake it then pour it into soil from my plant that how it boost grow fast from small to little big because of that hydrogen peroxide is help roots healthy and grow little bit more faster so here my pic on left is regular water and on right i add 5ml hydrogen peroxide into water.

Lost Coast Plant Therapy works amazingly well. I had an infested Herijuana plant last year and it completely solved the problem.
It's all natural and leaves no residue in ppm lab testing, I'd highly recommend it!

Have you had any issues with plant therapy burning your leaves? I used it for the first time the other night (lights were off when i sprayed) and came back when lights were on to a residue on my leaves and burns on some of my precious girls. Nothing that is major, i sprayed them off with water before they continued to genuinely cook under the lights. But you say it leaves no residue, did i over do it with the spray? I did 1 tbs to 1.5 quart of water, little under half a gal but i did not think this stuff would leave residue like you said.

According to their website, it has no harmful ingredients and leaves no harmful residues in strict parts-per-billion testing. I didn't have burn issues and had 6 different strains that I drenched thoroughly, several times, when I had spider mites last year (which LCPT quickly eradicated). This is how I'd interpret the directions for 1.5 quarts of water:
  • According to the directions, it says 12 oz of LCPT per 12 gallons water
  • This means 1 oz per gallon of water
  • This means 2 TBSP per gallon of water
  • This means 0.75 TBSP for 1.5 quarts of water
If my math is correct, you had it about 33% stronger than the package directions, not sure if it makes a difference though.
On their FAQ page, it says the following to answer the question, "What causes burning?":

It is very hard to burn or stress plants with our product. There are a variety of factors that can contribute to burning below are the only ones we know of related to our product.
Do not apply Lost Coast Plant Therapy in high heat (80 degrees or higher) or mid day high heat. Even plain water can burn plants if applied during high heat.
We suggest you water your plants the day before use of Lost Coast Plant Therapy if possible.
Make sure your sprayer/applicator line is clear of old product or other people’s product. Residue of other products can burn your plants. Mixing out product with other people’s products can have unknown interactions, so we do not guarantee what mixing our product with other product will do.
Our product separates, so if you spray without mixing you can get a high dose of one ingredient. Always mix well before and during application.

Hope this helps, let us know how it goes if you continue to use it. Cheers.

Thanks for the speedy reply, i have yet to spray them again but once the burns appeared i quickly sprayed them with just plain ol water. This was also a brand new sprayer, rinsed with water before use, girls are still healthy, i will tag a picture later of the burns when i check on the girls. Cheers mate.
