Hello everyone i hope you are all well and keeping safe from the dreaded virus.

Anyhow I have posted but a while ago now, and I know this site is good because you get decent answers off in the know long time growers. This is my 2nd attempt now and I'm 3 week into flower going into forth week in 2 days, do these plants I have look as though they are doing ok. Ive took a few leaves off so more Air flow gets through, but not many leaves, yet the plants look so bare and stringy and the buds what are forming look so far apart, I'm worried that they wont knit up or join up and make a bigger bud at the end of the cycle. I rely on this because it helps with the pain I suffer and it really does help. I don't know what strain they are, someone gave them me as cuttings and said they are "purple something, I cant remember though" so I'm in the dark at how they should be fed etc.
Im using the Shogun range of Nutrients and they are under 3x600watt lights. The lights have never been left to high away from the plant so I cant understand how or why they look so stretchy or lanky.
Any thoughts would be extremely helpful and highly appreciated, I can take criticism id prefer to get it and put me right that doing it wrong, so anything you say will help. I would like to thank you in advance for any replies I get.

Stay Safe and Peace and Joy

My theory is....

If you can't remember what your growing, your probably not taking it seriously enough

Medium
Ph?
Tap water?
Lights and distance from plants
Strength of nutes, meaning % of manufacturer suggested amount

More info needed to really help you

Its not me who doesn't know what he's growing mate. When I was given the cuttings the guy who gave them me didn't know what they were.
Medium- Soil 60/40 Hydroponics flood and drain.
ph. - 5.8- 6.0
3 x lights- Philips 600 w /230 volt Hps lamps and approx 24" (58 cms) away from plants
Using tap water but with Ecothrive Neutralise in.. https://www.ecothrive.co.uk/catalogue/neutralise_38/
Nutes 1.3 EC or 900ppm on a bluelab truncheon

Thats the best I can give you

Buy some metal halide bulbs for veg next time.
Clean up those leaves and mess.
Take pictures under natural light , we cant see shit in an orange glow to be able to diagnose anything.
yes I know it is a mess, but I took the pic straight after Id trimmed the leaves...and as soon as id took the pics the mess was gone !!!!!!!!
As for the orange glow I cant take a pic without that unless I take one in the sleeping period, but all the leaves are a good green colour with no yellow leaves on as yet

I was going to say could you take a pic in natural light (with a flash if needed) as one can't make out leaf colours with orange or pink light.
I cant get a natural light its inside a room. i tried using a flash, and they came out the same. as i said on another post the only way to get a proper pic is taking it in the dark period with a flash on

For those that asked to see them in a different light I've took some pics while in the dark with the flash on and this is best I can do sorry. All I really need to know is do they look as though they are doing well for what stage they are at? Im only learning and don't know what most on here know, so I don't know if I'm doing ok or I may as well scrap them and start over.
Thanks in advance for reading and hopefully giving me a few tips on how to improve them, I have wrote all the info of what media, ph reading, feed, etc I am using all above.

Too far, thats why they over stretched.
I like it around 24" to start then I lower as needed. Feel with arm if it's hot, too close, if you feel just warm it's all good.

Thanks mate, but I was first told to always keep the lights 24" away. I have done the putting my hand under and it if feels warm they are to too close and they feel fine. Im only guessing at 24" lime73 they may be closer, I've only just highered them today a little cause on one or two of the plants seemed quite close mate, I'm put some pics up and you can see the lights and how far away they are, I will lower them tomorrow when its lights on. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it very much

Not much you can do about the internode spacing. They are not perfect but you shouldn't be worried, doing well considering.
