A bit cloudy but mostly sunny for the gals

Forgot to mention on my previous post that I had to tie up the two lowest branches as they were drooping quite low due to weight.

Hard to see the wire holding up the lower branches on the EM

I think I'll be chopping them tomorrow, or the next day......they are 15 weeks old today

Yesterday was mixed clouds and sunshine for their last day.

I put them into a dark room last night without a feeding, and will start to chop today.

Well, it's a done deal, the gals got chopped yesterday...it was a bit lonely watching TV without my gals, but I'll get over it soon

The EM (Early Miss) just before chopping

The Revolver hanging, plus another bag of leaves, which I will make into oil

and some root porn for my buddy @WattSaver - nice firm roots on these two gals

they are now in a dark room for the next week or so, then into paper bags for a few days, then into mason jars for final storage

thanks everyone for following along and your feedback/comments

cheers

I clipped off the buds today and placed into paper bags to dry for a few more days

they will lose a few grams as they continue to dry but the preliminary weights are:

Early Miss = 180 grams
Revolver = 137 grams

IMG_1250.JPG

I store the bags in a cooler (with lid on) and fuff-up at least once a day

I will let the leaves go bone dry, then will make into oil...the leaves in the paper bag are from the DLF's

Hey @ISK thanks for making this journal, it gave me good hope. I don't have a grow light or grow tent or any of that stuff, I'm just in my first real grow and I'm moving my plants around my house in search of some sunlight and I felt like maybe that wasn't going to be good enough for my little ones, but now I see that it might be good enough after all. Hopefully I'll get someday good enough like you to grow such healthy plants and get that many grams from 2 liter pots, the numbers blew mind. I really enjoyed reading this thread, thank you and good luck!

thanks Doobie

I believe that growing using the hempy style was key, as I don't think this would have been as successful if I had grown in soil.....this was the first time I feed twice a day which I think really helped

It's hard as hell to stay motivated watering 2x a day. I start, but never make it to the end with 2x a day. This guy RoastyMcToasty on AFN was doing 2x a day coco hempys and getting 4 ft plants. Really crazy shit like 7 oz autos. 2x a day watering is insane.

Way to much work. I only like checking on the girls once a day and watering once every few days.

Yes and no. Depends on how much you want out of that hempy. Me, I'm ok with 2 oz from a 2 liter by going 1x a day. If you go the extra mile that 2 could be 4 or 5 or bigger.

I put the buds into mason jars today...will burp them for a few days before they are ready for long term storage

First time using Boost 62% moisture packs instead of Boveda packs, will see how they compare

The Early Miss
IMG_1261.JPG

The Revolver ...... and the leaves from all 4 plants (far right), which I buzzed up the leaves in a food blender and will make oil

Great window grow, I've been doing the same during quarantine but put them outside. 6 hours light in the window not bad. I live further north but getting similar light, just not autos so they are outside but not properly flowering yet. I'm worried that they may not have time to finish and already quite a mold problem. Been h2o2ing the mold on the buds wondering since BC is similar climate how you've fought the mold from humidity/rain?

Great thread I will do the same with autos next spring.

My very first indoor sunshine grow was a photo, and never again because it took until October to harvest and by then the amount of sunshine and the intensity of the sun was not ideal. I have not grown outdoors so I have never had to deal with bugs/mold/rain/etc....

If you are growing by sunshine in Canada it's not easy to finish a photo....but it can be done if you can grow until October
