Its not because I'm white you won't offend me.
Its because I'm proud of who I am. Who my people are. What my people are currently doing politically to better themselves.

I'm not saying racism doesn't exist. I'm not saying Americans aren't a bunch of racist arseholes. But the whole world's not like that man. Every offended person in this thread has taken something non offensive.

The truth that in my country my govornment is reacting to the exact same sort of behaviour in this thread.
Minorities trying everything they can to claim prejudice when there's nothing to moan about.
All I did was tell you that's how my govornment is looking at this and because of that you claim that I'm a racist.
In my country I can go to jail for you saying such things so the govt has decided that minorities too must also be able to be charged with the same things we already are.
As it stands if a black hits a white, it's assault. Almost zero chance of jail time.
If a white hits a white it's the same. Gotta half beat the guy to get jailed.
However if a white guy hits a black guy here then it's very hard to avoid a charge of racially aggravated assault. That does carry jail time.

Because people like you are claiming things to be racially aggravated when they aren't there is 2 only ways to deal with it.
Stop charging whites for racism or start charging everyone else.
Which would you prefer?
You want equality and don't have a clue what life is like for us over here. You certainly don't know what it's like for minorities.theyre protected here. Well they were untill this.

Well that's unfortunate mate and makes me glad I don't live in America.
They did get arrested though. Says they were arrested then bailed. Doesn't say if they were charged or punished though. And certainly doesn't say they weren't so might need to check a bit further into that one.
Again though. I'm not in America so it's got nothing to do with my point.

Scotch is a sauce, adhesive tape, another word for "cheap" and a group of people who are just English peoples with a funny dialect. You should hear how people butcher the Scotch accent here in the US. lulz.

Also their state tree would be called a stick and treated as a weed in Oregon.

In reaction to the current climate.
My govornment are writing in a new bill of legislation to make hate crimes more easily punishable by law.
Certain things already result in a swift jail sentence here. Racism is taken extremely seriously.
Its very, very dangerous for a white guy to get into any sort of altercation with a non white. Say literally one wrong word and you can get 12 months in jail.
Same goes for homophobia and sectarianism.
Call someone a poofter or mock their religious beliefs and you can also easily end up in jail. Saw a guy get 3 years for wrapping bacon round the door handle of a mosque a while back.
If you take the superficial religious element out of the equation then all he did was put bacon on a door handle. And he got the jail.
That's how seriously we take discrimination here....
But that wasn't enough and people are kicking up about it so look what's happened.

Our govornment deny that religion will be effected by this but there's a hell of a lot of opposition to the bill so enough people are worried about it.

This is the sort of shit I knew was gonna happen.
Laws must be one size fits all so they have to work both ways.
If it's illegal for me then it should be illegal for everyone.
Many groups won't see this as equality.
They'll see it as prejudice, removal of free speech etc.
But this is what equality looks like.
If I can get jail for calling you a N$*%£=# then you should get the jail for calling me chalky.
If I can get the jail for slagging you off for believing in god then you should also get the jail for doing the same to an atheist.

Be warned folks. This is a sign of things to come.
This is what happens when people rebel without a clue .
They force govornments to take action and enforce their views.

Black people said we weren't strict enough with our current anti hate laws so they're now being extended to include everyone.
Ultimately this will make life a bit easier for white atheists here (the vast majority) and everyone else will be worse off.

I said it would happen and this is the first sign I've seen of it.
I'm not gloating. I am a white atheist so I will benefit from this and it's something I definately support.
But I was quite happy with the way things were. None of us would ever fight to push such an agenda because it's fucking ludicrous. It'll just create even more tensions and more people than ever will feel prejudiced against.
This is what happens though when people don't think things through.

It’s a slippery slope and people are hiding from the reality. Hate speech laws are bullshit plain and simple. I remember when Americans would fight and stand for your right to say something even if they didn’t agree with it, cuz Muh free speech. Now as we enter the era of 1984, George Orwell is rolling in his grave. Truly these are scary times when you can’t state objective facts such as your gender isn’t fluid, which is an undeniable reality. This is what happens when you give children prizes for participation......That said I have no fear of these small minds, I will speak freely as it is my God given human right.
