Everybody gets frustrated by the situation in America, Americans the most, Canadians too, many have American family and I tend to focus on human rights, corruption, racism, treason and mass murder of US citizens. It is normal for people to be appalled at such a horrific situation. We can be frank about the problems and help too, forget the tariffs and support liberal democracy in America, or should.

We should try not to be condescending or insulting, these are complex dynamic social and political situations and are temporary in nature. Having a deep dive into what motivates people's beliefs and behaviors is useful, the enemy are your relatives in many cases, in a social political war with historic roots. Understanding that the Russians are exploiting all divisions, racial, political and even between allies, it is the duty of every intelligent person to foster understanding and smooth over social division, temporarily. This means inside the liberal/democratic camp, that is now filling with conservatives as well as progressives, this is where the ideological battle will take place.

America is no different than any place else, it's just that the 2 party system and of registering as one or the other strengthens identity and primaries, foster tribalism. When tribalism is coupled with racism and history the results are dangerous. I'm a member of the Liberal Party, very few Canadians are a member of a political party, they switch around a lot more.

I think though that the thought process behind the two guys push a old lady down and she breaks her arm analogy.

The first pushed her out of the way of a oncoming bus that would have ran her over, and the other pushed her down to steal her purse.

Here is another hard truth, this is what freedom means, we can travel to Europe and if you are part of the international FPV community, the guy who made this video might even be your guide. As far as chinese cultural influences go, that is a level playing field of ideas and a meritocratic competition. Cancel culture is neurotic to a point, hate speech is not free speech though.

They were traitors to the constitution and the cause of human rights for all, they were enemies of humanity in most cases, some people object to having to walk in their shadow and pay taxes for their upkeep, replace them with WW2 heroes, plenty of them and it was a "good war".

Ditto for bases named after confederate generals, name them after patriotic military heroes, not disgusting traitors who fought for an evil worthless cause and murdered American soldiers.

Thing is everybody is blaming the present for the past, you all need to face reality and understand that's the way things were back then and there's no changing it, life was cruel back then and you look through history it always has been. I'm a student of history as well as human nature, history is important, just don't carry it like a cross upon your back and remember history is an evolving academic subject and new points of view are coming into the picture too. It has its place in books by Shelby Foote and others, and with documentary makers. These monuments were made in New England, erected in the 1920's and finance by the Daughters of the Confederacy, who also rewrote local history with the "States Rights" bullshit.

This is the final battle of a long standing civil war, the Alamo for the neo confederacy and the extinction of the elephants they ride. They jumped off the donkey cause the ride was getting too rough and complicated for simple minds.
