Anyone else notice Autoflowers seem to be leafy as hell?

Autos are fast and yield well. These days they have nice terps and potency as well, at least the Mephistos I've grown did.
Not as fast as breeders want you to believe is what I have seen here, the running joke with the 60 day wonder strain is actually called 120 day wonder, that's 4 months from seed to harvest and I bet i can get 10 times the harvest with photos in that same time period, noobs just think autos takes away all the work.

Breeders times imo should be looked at as optimum conditions/phenotype.

Running a top quality light and hydro is going to give you much quicker results than poorer lighting/soil grows.

Fastest one I’ve had is 9 weeks (chopped it a week after the photo on the 10th but very little change. Had a calcium deficiency but price you pay for soft water and running a strain for the first time.

Usually come in the 10-11 week mark for me in soil and 600w MH/hps.

I like autos, some of them yes you will get very leafy canopy, others its more stream lined. Most of that though comes down to the strain your growing. I have no doubt you can probably get more from a photoperiod but Autos are known for faster turn arounds.

You can keep them on a 18 on and 6 hours off schedule and they still flower compared to having to swap to 12 / 12 for photoperiods.

Auto enthusiast defensiveness in 3...2...1....

I've never grown an auto. Probably never will. I don't see the appeal. Maybe for outdoor?
Biggest reason for autos for me is discreet small plants that I can pop 6 of and keep well hidden from jackals trying to steal my hard work.

A secondary reason is growing outdoors light cycles become an issue.

I dont want to wake up at 6 am to move my plants out. I keep them locked up at night.

There are some great reasons to want autos tbh.
