If you're going to do hydro why don't you get AN 3-part, some Big Bud and Rhino Skin for the silica. That's all you need other than any old CalMag and some Epsom Salts. The 3-part costs no more than any other. Works great for Lucas and never having to check the pH is a huge plus for me. Works just as good in pots full of ProMix HP too.
I used AN in promix for a couple years, I honestly don’t think I will use any of there bases again, I want to get away from liquid nutrients too. As far as ph, if I swing it now from 6.1 to 5.8, it would take a couple weeks of add backs before I need to add nutes to buffer or use my up/down. The AN ph perfect stuff gave me a headache, I need to have control, I never did try it in hydro though. I think I’m going to try out jacks, $100 cad shipped will cover my grow. Might look into the other stuff mentioned in that video but prob just the base, calnit and salts. I used 3 gallons of GH on Lucas formula this past time and that 1L of big bud. Well, I’m just going off my goto place, he said they discontinued it almost a year ago and no online store has stock other then bigger bulk that I can see in Canada. I tried my tap water at the start of this run and it didn’t work, 270 out of my dechorinator just didn’t work on Lucas, I have a stealth 150 now and pre filters, super clean water.
Lucas is hard to beat but you def need close to 0 water.
i thought i read that too somewhere. a kilo bag lasts me forever anyways. but i'm curious to try this Jacks out. i'm chomping at the bit to get another run going soon jsut to see how it works
I use MaxiBloom and I use tap water.

The only thing I do extra during my grows has been to add silica to aid stem stiffness in hydro. Out of stock anywhere I look in Canada as mentioned, asked about it and was told it’s not available, discontinued. None on amazon.ca unless you want to spend 100 for a kg. I can find a 20lb bucket but I’m not doing that.
My tap water is 270 ppm, it didn’t work even with hard water micro.
I was eye balling the tribus as well, looks pretty good.
I informed the fam I was doing a back to back run, one more run will dial in the new setup, I was set on maxibloom, will be a toss up between 321 and Lucas now, I have a couple weeks before I need something.
i know you were one of them. mine was a sarcastic response to Mick about how he used it with tap water. my original post was that it was better with 0 ppm water in that when i used it with such , my pH was dead nutz on 5.8Why would you do that? Lucas took the idea of one grower, and the research done by other growers, and posted it on the net with his name on it.
I was one of the growers who researched the theory and reported my results to the group. That was about 1998 in adpc.
