Light for a 2x4 tent

Which light would be a better choice

Hey was debating between getting a timber 3vl and a spider farm 2000. Hopefully some one has exerpience with both and can point me in the better direction. I know the spiderfarm draws about 200 which is low and the timber is 320watt. So leaning more towards the timber as of right now. Any feedback would be great

Just looking at them I like the SP2000 design better and have seen many grows under them so I know it would do for your space well. Can't speak to the 3vl, hopefully someone will chime in who has grown with them.

Thanks i like the spider farm design over the timber as well. Right now i have a full spectrum 400watt led off amazon. Which seems to br working just new tent and debating on getting a different light

Have you looked on Alibaba? You can get lights that are similiar to Spider Farmer for half the price.

The two lights I bought are the same as the SF2000 except the SF has more diodes and a few less watts. Same driver and diodes though.

Definately worth checking out the game changer.

Alibaba is an option, I was more making sure I know what light to look for and then look for options.

So far looks like everyone is going with the timber for the poll

I was surprised by that myself. I had never heard of the Timber but have seen hundreds of successful grows posted using the Spider. Guess the Timbers are popular even through I have never seen them mentioned. They do fill libraries with all the things I dont know, lol.

Edit. I did find a couple threads about these and people seem interested but have not seen an actual grow with them. They are very expensive. When I look at HLG-550 V2 Rspec it is $1,188 which is good for a 5x5 flower footprint but the equivalent game changer which does a 5x5 which is the 680 it is listed as $1449. Now the game changer pulls more watts but is still only rated for 5x5. I know folks are always talking about how many watts pulled from the wall but I don't trust those numbers to tell a full story. Seems to me I can put 2 different lights side by side with the same power draw but it does not make them equal. It has much to do with how it was built, the circuitry, the parts etc. Just having a higher power draw does not in itself make something better by default. In the end I don't know those lights but that does not mean they could not be the best ever. Good luck with your decision, I hope it all goes well for you with whatever you decide.

The dimensions of the Game Changer are perfect for a 2x4. Not an odd ball pattern where some is either wasted or too concentrated in the center

This will cover a 4x2. Correct shape (888mm x 206mm), add your own HLG 320W driver for a great price and the best spectrum around (IMO). Full disclosure: I designed these and have a vested interest. They're on sale at the moment with free Buddies if you get in quick.

Double High Light kits get two boxes of free Buddies according to the sponsor post. Assuming they haven't already gone. I'm running six strings in my 4x2 over three layers, but two strings would give you one complete layer. I've just harvested these plants and got no larf. Easiest trimming I've done in a while. The two mutant Blue Heaven's in the corner were a challenge.

Hey bud, congrats. I have been reading a bunch on those lights and they seem like a great choice if you have the budget for them.

For a 4x2 you want run a HLG-320H-48A or AB. That's what I run. I have 4 boards in that space, not two, but you would run the same driver. You can also run them on a HLG-480H-48 or 54 driver but only at 450W (225W max per board). You need to dim the driver.
