Relaxation would be the reward of your patience. I wish I had a house with some land to do this. A fruit tree or something usefulYoud spend a lifetime training a tree into a chair but man the satisfaction.......

You can relax anywhere. I have an awesome zero gravity chair that i relax in sometimes. The true reward would be that you worked on something your entire life so you could have a one of a kind piece of living, functional art. I feel like there are types of trees or bushes or whatever that you could do this with and it would only take a decade or two to accomplish.Relaxation would be the reward of your patience. Nah, wouldn’t work because I’ll be rotating it. The watering and soil haven’t been a problem, as long as I’m careful. The only dumb bit is that you should have had the plant growing out the side so you can water it through the top
You the expert, I'll keep an eye on the resultsNah, wouldn’t work because I’ll be rotating it. The watering and soil haven’t been a problem, as long as I’m careful.
Looks like you're working with zero G's.LOL, it was dumb!
Just didn’t work. The side branches started becoming the main branches while other side branches were smushed while I turned the pot.
Meanwhile some kind of genetic impulse made the stem keep growing longer, so even while I was twisting, it only affected the growing tip.
In other words: Does not work for training, don’t waste your time!

I do find it interesting the stem just gets longer in the “wrong direction” — it defies gravity. Just wants to be perpendicular to the roots no matter how gravity or light are manipulated.Looks like you're working with zero G's.
I was talking about your pics. Somehow gravity works different where you are.I do find it interesting the stem just gets longer in the “wrong direction” — it defies gravity. Just wants to be perpendicular to the roots no matter how gravity or light are manipulated.
I doubt it, LOL. If you’re more specific I can be more specific, tho.I was talking about your pics. Somehow gravity works different where you are.
Ton of work but useless idea, LOL. Thanks for kind words.Really cool idea but a ton a work imo
LOL, now I get it. Yeah, not sure why the site loaded the pics sideways. How do I change that? They looked normal on my phone.Never mind. I just figured out how to get mine to grow upside down. I can also defy the laws of gravity now.

Well at least you get my smart ass remarks now, lol.LOL, now I get it. Yeah, not sure why the site loaded the pics sideways. How do I change that? They looked normal on my phone.
I think it does that automatically with vertical photos. Not sure how to change that without having to rotate my own pics on my phone, not even sure if that would work.
That's neat. I grew 2 SOG KUSH sideways in 32"x 20" dresser drawer. Fun but really cramped. Haven't played with bonsai since this Asain wild mountain rose from scratch. Failed so miserably I haven't been back. Wrong plant for anything over 55 F. But you can manipulate a plant to do and grow almost anywhere. To grow a spiral you need a means of automatically rotating the plant back and forth while controlling the speed and degrees of travel. Good luck.Never mind. Assuming it is small enough to handle. Just let it dry a bit. Compress the sides of the pot all the around until it fills the gap for you. Throw soil ontop to meet your desire. Peace.Another problem is now that I’ve stood the pots upright, there is a layer of separation between the pot and the soil — like a gap created from compression. The water flows straight into the gap and out of the pot. I will need to fill it in with soil, press it in there somehow.
The foundation of science is testing a hypothesis. I tested it and discounted it. That’s just regular science. You never know unless you try.Thank you for dedicating your life to Bro Science, its good to see your still hard at it.
