I’m not trying to argue or be confrontational. I really want to know what makes then the highest quality. What makes them better? I’m pretty sure all the Samsung boards come out of the same factory. To be clear I’m not a huge spider farmer fan either or a fan of any lighting company really
They get the best diodes.
Have the best warranty.
Are made in the US.
They invented the quantum board.
Any questions?

for one, HLG wouldn't send a reply that not to touch the lights with wet hands. or that it's static electricity.

buy them just for the warranty. electrical things do eventually let the smoke out and stop working. they'd fix it for you or replace

How about the Polystation. They have all the versions. Here's 1 and 3, lol.

Yes indeed, smiling ear to ear. The one thing I did notice is their newer models like this Rspec 600 don't use a Meanwell driver but rather an Inventronics driver. Just reading about those now, lol.
Interesting. Mars Hydro is claiming they use Inventronics on their new FC series lights.... haven't done any research on that manufacturer though....
The FC series is also much more expensive than their other models... priced comparably to an HLG now. (I think the model for flowering a 5x5 space is like ~$950)

Stop pushing Mars just because you wanna win a free light from them. Just because they are priced comparably to an HLG, doesn't mean it's worth it.

so why buy it?
I'm not, I'm in the contest to try and win one personally....

That being said it is possible they're trying to up their game and these could be better...... but if I were going to invest anywhere near that much it would be an F strip or Q strip custom build not a manufactured light.

that might be my next project: i have a 3x4 bloom room: i've thought about making a cube of F strips on the walls from top to bottom. it would have top grade buds from top to bottom

A. I'm just giving an honest review of my experience with them. Just because you have an opposing opinion doesn't mean I don't get express mine so piss of on that aggression BS. No one is impressed with fake masculinity like that.
B. If you actually read my posts on the topic of Mars Hydro I multiple times mention I wouldn't buy the new model myself personally, I just share the specs as a comparison.

I like that idea, I've been watching the vertical thread and thinking how cool that could be... also tempted to emulate what I see on TV (trailer park the animated series) and try to grow a plant upside down with a light on the floor!

i agree. stadium grows have the most lumens/ sq foot ( i think) of surface area of light, but do it opposite. one plant trained well would be all you need surrounded by light.

It actually seems pretty logical- I had great results doing hanging tomatoes like that on my front porch. Also eliminates training/supporting the plant.... I do wonder if the buds would smoosh too close together though

That's why I wouldn't personally buy any pre-manufactured light again. I'd rather know it's my fault if something breaks PLUS I can customize it for whatever weird crap I want to try. No company provides that level of customization...

Also not a fan of how compact most lighting units are.... Like if you design it for a 4x4 tent spread out the diodes to get even coverage on that tent not two little boards hanging in the center.

i bought the boards but did the rest myself. so i left a nice channel in the middle where i've added far red pucks and a 1 ft uvb lamp. had to plan in advance for that

I could see doing something like that- with an HLG kit and maybe 80/20 extrusion. I think I got into the idea of the strip build due to cost but it's been awhile since I looked into that..... checking prices too often leads to buying things I can't afford.

You'd think it's that simple, but it's the type of enviroment that can easily lead to ''I'm tired of being fucked, time to grow dicks''. Even if not that, the logistics of setting it up will give you something to think about ^^.

Maybe I'm clueless but how do you grow a dick on a plant?

i don't know, if you trained them around the outside of a tomato cage, it wouldn't be to bad after that. but yeah, some cutting and pasting would be needed to get it right.
