I believe the original poster’s comments reflected his/her opinion that if you were a Sanders supporter and didn’t vote for Clinton, you share some of the responsibility for the trump presidency.

I would agree with that assessment.

only a portion of Obama's base showed for Clinton- the portion that didn't show? was telling her you need more than a name and coattails to ride in on.

which is why trump is going to win in november, they snubbed bernie (twice now) and the other candidates for biden who is pretty detestable and is your standard career politician. i think when obama got elected in 08 that biden before being picked as vp received only about 6% of the democrat support among all candidates for presidential nomination.

it is what it is. trump usurped the republican party and took it over, the democrats are doubling down on relying on the partisanship. blame the democratic leadership, they gave their constituents a shit sandwich to swallow and damn them if they dont like it (that was and is their attitude)

I think part of it is Biden represents some level of stability compared to the last four years and they are trying to capitalize on the "any sane adult 2020" crowd

I was watching our Fuckface in Chief last night on OAN (Onanism ad nauseum) network. He was in the last ten minutes of his performance and he clearly knew nothing about RBG's death. The thing that really got me was how he said he would appoint SCOTUS justices that would rule on the Constitution as written. His thrall of thick-headed retards responded in an orgy of applause.

Who is stupid enough to read the Constitution and come away thinking that there is some absolute meaning to most of it? (A: Only Trump supporters are this fucking stupid) The founding fathers left the thing kind of nebulous so that future generations could use it as a guide, not a road map.

For example, what exactly does "shall advise and consent" mean from a procedural standpoint? Most people would agree that there are no procedural instructions in this phrase even though it clearly points out what the basic procedure is. How that little bitch McConnell can pretend to be following the literal meaning of the Constitution while clearly violating it's spirit is beyond me. There are two types of Republicans: those corrupt enough to strangle the Constitution by using this simplistic wordplay ("it doesn't say we have to vote on them"), and people too fucking stupid (@Bugeye) to realize the actions of the first group as the mendacious obfuscations that they clearly are. Fuck both of those groups.

Anybody who thinks that the founding fathers spent so much effort delineating that balance of powers between the three branches just to allow them to be negated by the inaction of one of them deserves to live under totalitarianism.
