So here some of the long awaited pics.
Please bare in mind it's my first HPS grow and also in the country that I live in it's near impossible to get some of the things that may seem so basic to growers in other countries. Like ventilated hoods for example, they need to be imported privately and nutes are not tailor made for cannabis growers... bla bla bla. You get the picture.
The grow space is ONLY 3.9 foot high !!! Its a fuck up... I realise that yes. But I have to see this through now before I can increase size dramatically and move to a more suitable location.
Everything was going beautifully here until season started changing. There was a cold front and when that abruptly ended, temps went up dramatically and within two days the girls were scorched. As I said, I have installed a aircon and directed cold air over the bulbs/worst affected areas. The temp is stable now with grow room temps around 75 and 78 degrees. Leaf surface temps right under the bulbs are 84 MAX. Bulbs are at at night of course from 6 PM to 6 am. In the earlier hours of the morning the temps are going much lower. When I check on them in the morning the room temp is around 57/60 degrees. Difficult to keep in in the sweet spot all the time... but rather cold that hot I suppose.
Some of the bud sites in the pics are still doing very well. Some have been damage for sure with many if not all of the sugar leaves being curled and dead but if you squeeze the site gently it still feels like there is moisture and life hanging in there. Some bud sites are completely dead. They are brown and crunchy. Fuck up. Maybe positive is that there are far more sites that are damaged but hanging in, than there are dead and dry... whether they will recover or not is another story that I was hoping to get some INTELLIGENT feedback on.
When they were busy cooking, there was a fan at the entrance of the room blowing air over the illuminated areas toward the back of the room. I think a lot of ambient heat built up at the back. I noticed now that although the bud sites still seem to be alive, most of the pistils on plants at the back of the room seem to have turned brown, while the sites closer to the entrance seem to all still be white... any info regarding this ? Due to the stress obviously but how negative is it ?
As I said, I'm really just making due with limited supply and space here and i need to try see this through with the best possible return. I would really appreciate any constructive criticism.
