Am I there yet?

Well buddy, the one on top definitely needs a little more time. The second plant is closer. I would wait another week on the second at least two weeks on the first. They will get there!
Good luck friend!
How do u come to that conclusion? Thx for input appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

The first one has still got some fresh white pistols and both of them still have really long pistols.. I personally would wait till the calyxs' were more swollen and had envelope more of the hair.
However it is your grow and the final decision is up to you my friend. I just like to wait as long as I can. Doing so has always payed off. I also like a lot of amber trichomes.
I'm sure you will be happy with them weather you harvest soon or wait longer.

I have picked early before it sux the difference between a week or two can be quite amazing. My buddy who is big into his growing always told me, when in doubt to wait another week. Since then I've never been disappointed with the results.

Edit* I'm not saying your plants are early you can pick whenever you like really exactly as above says. The trichomes will tell you the *high* u are looking for and pick then!

Mine are all still in. I did start on one then let the rest of it stay up for a while longer. I have two Strawberry Banana Sherbet that won't be done until almost Thanksgiving. The one I started comes down this weekend, another next weekend and a third the weekend after that. Then finally the last two when they are done.
My ginko tree blocks a lot of light this time of year and the shade falls on the part of my hoop house the last two are in. But last night the freze we had sent the ginkgo leaves to the ground. So with the added light they are going to get now they should do great here in the home stretch.
It's the wait that that gets ya! Just drives a person nuts waiting for the day you take them down. But in the end it is normally worth it.

Appreciate the tips. OK I get ya. I'm really looking for as most cloudy as I can get. Main concern for me is waiting too long so that the high gets super heavy and sickly feeling compared to all cloudy. I don't mind waiting another week. Also worried about harvesting too early and get a less premium product.

Is it early harvest or short dry that make it smell like hay?

I have heard if you pick a bit too early the hay smell sometimes may never go away! I have dried waaay to quick before tho and was very disappointed with my hay smelling product. I threw those buds in some jars with boveda packs, opened every day for first week or so and then once or twice a week for the next few weeks and then one day after about 2 months more or less, I opened a jar and my nose exploded from the dankness and my whole house stank to high heaven!:eyesmoke:

Wasn't sure what the reason for the hay smell. Some say because of dry time some say harvest to early. Anyone got credible sources or can explain how this works? Bit off topic but..

10 weeks since I switched to 12/12. I know ur supposed to add a couple weeks on that, and if u count from flip, maybe add another week. Supplier says 7-8 weeks, so in 1 week I'm there. Should be safe to harvest by then?

I decided I'm there.
Left alot of leaves in case of low RH. If it go up I'll cut some off. This is my first time ever done this. Thoughts?
Trying to keep 21°c and see if I can get to 45%. Not even sure it's the numbers I want but head spinning a bit atm!

Is this all good?
Can take a couple from the side as well to see how close I stacked them. Within a couple hours gonna check on them anyway.

Looks good! Temps I usually keep between 18c and 21c I've heard lower temps is better tho, rh humidity between 40 and 55 is good too in my experience. I also hang with all leaves on besides fan leaves. Make sure u have a fan blowing in the room but not on the plants, after about a week minimum but usually take longer the leaves will be crispy and outside of buds will be crispy too but still a bit squishy, set yourself up with a couple beers and a few hours lol depending on amount of plants and remove all the crispy green leaves carefully , then I usually hang them back up and I use the 'black bag' method-- basically grab a trash bag over the entire plant and tie a knot at the top push out any excess air in the bag and leave for a few days to sweat out any excess moisture to the surface, then I take them down chop them up into jars and burp once a day for a week or two and then once or twice a week until your satisfied with the product. Smoke and enjoy:weed::eyesmoke:

Sure is :D

Thought rh would be low(42% at the time) so I turned down the extraction fan to 10%.
Last night when I checked on them 55%, so I turned the fan up to 20%. Today still about the same but I want it to go lower so I added another fan for circulation only, pointed between the rows.
This evening down at 45% and 19.5°c. Guessing having 55% AND alot of leaves is not a wise idea? Do leaving fan leaves make my buds taste weird if I remove them when dry.

I left alot of leaves, fan leaves as well, cause I thought things were going to be too dry and this would slow things down(I've read it no real experience).

dont go too high with your extractor i think it might fucked my last harvest with a hay smell because of this with 40-50% rh, even 60 its good if you got a fan who move air but not directly on the buds with the extract at 10% 15%, my best harvest was when i just hang the whole plant in my barn in the october outdoor air and constant rain humidity with the low temp ,it took 2 weeks to dry but the smell was the same as when i chopped and the taste is hella good. secret is..dont rush the process and let it chill for at least a week

Oscilating fan is right below, hitting a few of the lower branches.

Does it rly promote hay smell if rh and temp is right? Someone second this?
honestly before that grow i didnt give a fuck if it smell weed because it was is a private house but that grow was in a appartement so i need the growtent with the filter on so unless its the same situation and you have no problem with smell, if you have a spare room just hang them there, no fan needed for me but if you want you can. just keep it dark cold with the right rh for at least a week, never had hay smell with this technique
